Oh LORDIE!!! Here we gooooo...
Am I the only one that thinks (aside from it looking like a hot pile of goo-mess) that there looks like there is hardly ANY product in these!? I didn't realize the pot was so shallow!
Yes!!! I keep staring at like where is this supposed 2.1grams at?!

I think I read earlier in the thread that these can be molded/formed, but I have to say that this picture really doesn't tempt me to check out the collection.

WERD!! I don't know that I want to be "molding" or "forming" anything on my eyelids! LOL My heart sank at the look of that photo! I get that heat and such can affect a product but that doesn't look just melted, it looks folded and deformed... I'm with Naynadine... these reviews are going to sting! My question is... I'm sure T got the whole collection to review. So, is the only one that showed up like that the black one? That would be helpful to know. If the others are in good shape, perhaps it isn't a melting/heat issue at all! CURIOUS!!

I clicked back on that link for T's image, and if you click the tab to see the next image she has the teal EC shadow in one piece. But she mentions it was one of the only ones that arrived in tact. So, I'm guessing the whole shipment was a casualty!

I think she mentioned that a few of them had 'packaging problems'.

This looks BAD for MAC and people who ordered online! Which is what I'll have to do to get these!! If T OVERNIGHTED them and they arrived like that... can you imagine the STANDARD SHIPPING nightmares that are about to ensue! Returns galore! Is the product good enough to go through this turmoil, and for such a small amount of product too! I'm going to see how everyone else's orders turn up before buying any.

Just got an email from Nordies - my Electroplate and Superwatt have shipped.

Regarding the L'oreal Infallibles - wear time for me is GREAT. I'm one of those people who is lucky to get 4 hours of wear out of normal powder shadows, even over a base, but these last all day on me.

I do find that while they seem to blend well with each other I don't like mixing them with other shadow formulas, mostly because those other ones fade first and end up leaving me with just the Infallibles on, like on half my lid LOL. It looks patchy and weird when that happens so I don't do it.

I used them over a paint pot and they're fine. I have nearly every color they've made so far except the pink, and I have dupes of a lot of them since a discount store near where I work had a bunch of them for 1.99 each and I went a bit beserk LOL.

Now seeing that pic, I see why the blogger from the link I posted said this "The other potential problem it that when I tried the purple colour it was already broken from the pot.. not the shadow itself, but the pot had popped out!"

That's sounds like a good plan! If they al look like doodoo you'd better skip these I think. I don't even want to know what will happen when shipped to the Netherlands, so I'll skip these for sure!

I still don't understand if that was due to heat and they melted, or if they are just sensitive and kind of slip around in the packaging and/or shatter? Maybe her box dropped or got handled a little rough.

ETA: OK, now that I see Richelle's post the packaging itself seems to be the problem.

For the most part, I only reach for these when I'm looking for a quick look that is still pretty and polished. I mostly use my finger to apply a light wash to my lid and then bring the leftover up lightly into the crease. I will go back and layer the shadow until I feel it's the intensity I want. But definitely start w a light application and layer more light layers on top if needed. I will sometimes use a matte shadow in the crease & to define the outer v, but I have found these shadows don't work so great blended together with each other. Maybe it's the texture of the shadow that makes that difficult. So I pick one of these and then use my other regular shadows to enhance the look if that's what I want. But these are kind of a one-and-done product! Wash on lid, swept lightly into the crease, highligt your browbone, and you're out the door!
The wear time is great for me... I have never tested them by the hour, but I can put them on and they last all day with no creasing. I do use a primer, just because I always do with shadows. UDPP or TFSI works great. I have also used TF Glitter Glue and it's perfect! I do have normal lids. Nothing oily or anything like that. HTH
This is exactly how I use paint pots (although I use a brush to apply). I'm loving Indianwood and Satin Taupe lately, and I'd never given ST any love.

I love cream shadows! :)

I got my three from the counter. When I used one I kind of dug my brush into it. The next day it was smooth again. They definitely move -- I left one on it's side and it slid a bit.

That being said -- I

them!

I was going to order the purple on-line since my store hasn't received it yet but I won't now because of T's posts, but I have no qualms about buying it at the counter.

Welp I am going to wait and see how I like Superwatt. Who knows when Nordies will deliver it, hope it makes it here in tact.

I tested my four shadows to see how they look on my eye. I am very happy with them. Coil and Electroplate are the best. They are extremely pigmented and look really good on my skin. Dynamo is very pretty and soft and it's not terribly similar to Coral Crepe on me at all. Brilliantly Lit is also very pretty and can be built up. I tried using the brush I saw on display with these shadows since I already own it. I think that's the 252. That was a fail. I was going to reach for the 239, but out of laziness I used my fingers and I loved it that way. I didn't even put a primer underneath. I'm excited about these shadows. When these hit Mac I will get Blacklit and Fashion Circuit.
