Pixie, this is like the billionth time I've see you offer to help someone out this week alone!!! The world would be a much better place if more people were even half as nice as you
urock.gif
Oh Shucks! You sweet thing you! Thanks for the wonderful compliment!
It's easy to offer to do nice things for nice people! Everyone on here is so great! And I'm almost certain they'd do it for me! That's how I became such good friends with Shellcat... she sent me a product I was looking for and it was her BU... I was blown away by that!! She referenced "paying it forward." If we all did that, you're RIGHT ON "the world WOULD be a much better place!"

Thank you so much for your suggestions sweetie. IV was the one I was leaning towards the most. But I just bought the magenta Estee Lauder gelee shadow, plus the new palette coming up has a bright pink in it. So I'll prob go with FC. Its the only other bright I'm interested in. But is is pretty dupable looking. Maybe I'll get another neutral like Pure flash, but that seems dupable too! Gotta love how MAC makes you go back and forth lol. I just think its getting hard to decide since I just spent 100$ on the EL shadows. And I plan on spending another 60+ $ on EL's violet underground coll. Me and the hubby are struggling with finances right now, so I should go on a no-buy, but I cant help it!

I've been charging it so its not coming out of bill money. And I have to pay for the cards monthly already anyways. (spoken like a true addict huh? lol)
You are right about LP, and I think SW is more unique. SW is a definate

I's go with Superwatt and InfraViolet. They seem the most unique of the 4 you mentioned.
I'm getting Coil, Superwatt, InfraViolet and MAYBE Electroplate (but I think that one fell off my list)
T says LP is nice swatched but doesn't perform well. And FC is a lot more dupable I think than IV. Just my opinion..
Let us know what you decide to snag!!

purplerinne has me VERY close to wanting PF because of its likeness to Vintage Selection. But I'm going to start w my original list of 3 and see if I like the formula first!

Alright, I don't care how many B minus ratings these get or bloggers postings of product slipping and sliding, it can't kill my lemming. Plenty of Specktra folks I trust have said no creasing and incredible formula. Yeah, I probably won't use the teal one or the fuchsia one that much, but I am still on team ALL. I may even pay the shipping at Nordies to get them before they go OOS. Poor impulse control, who moi? I can wear threadbare clothes a little longer, go without Starbucks, even eat off the dollar menu or Top Ramen for a while, I don't think we will see the like of these again for a LONG time. No skipper's remorse for me!

Absolutely! I haven't been here long, but so many people have made me feel welcome and have gone out of their way to be helpful. Pixie, Shellcat when I thought the airline had lost some of my fave LE items, Purplerinne doing a CP for the NARS Joie de Vivre palette, Mac Guy with foundation recommendations, Richelle with a billion swatches, and the list goes on and on and on. You're an expensive crowd to hang with, but I'm having a lot of fun.

I am a HUGE fan of the concept of paying it forward. It's something that I've tried hard to pass on to my kids. My grandfather taught me when I was a little girl that a meaure of a person is how they behave when no one is looking and how they treat others when they have nothing to gain. If I accomplish nothing else as a parent, if I manage to have my children truly embrace that doing the right thing (not necessarily the easy thing) is its own reward, then I'll be happy.

I found the l'Oreal shadows today - for $12.99 Canadian!

I passed and took a stroll to MAC Pro where e/s pans are $14. I'll need to keep an eye out for a sale on the l'Oreal shadows - some were very pretty. I'm just not willing to pay $1 under MAC prices for them.
Ok, I got behind in this thread... someone tell me the details about these? whats so special?

yep...still love them...

i tried to use almost all electric cool eyeshadows today... i succeeded in only using a smidge of Omega to matte up the crease a bit... and a tiny bit of Inglot cream matte just under the arch (with Pure Flash)

Wow! I LOVE the way you worded that! SO true!! Your grandfather was a wise man... and look at the wonderful traits he instilled in you to "pay forward" to your daughter! She's a lucky lady to have you as a mother!! More kids today could use a mother like you!

so... the brush I have been using is actually a stiff bristled sonia kashuk eyeshadow brush (second one from the left in this picture)
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pE6LWDFZsug/SlniNkAZX5I/AAAAAAAAAg0/-CkqhW4zUMA/s400/soniakashuk.jpg

basically if you pat them on, you can get that really shiny effect like in the middle of my eyelid... they blend out really nicely into a fine shimmer...

if you use a softer brush to grab it and apply it (like one of the real techniques eye brushes) you can just get the fine shimmer effect (like inner corner/browbone)

so far, im pretty in love with them... i really love Pure Flash though, i might want a backup...

Aw, that's so sweet of you. Go tell my kids that their strict mother is actually a gift and not a burden, will ya? ;)

My grandfather was an amazing man. Born to a milkman father, only got to go to school until 5th grade but was one of the smartest people I've ever met. No airs or graces about him and he didn't suffer fools gladly, but he was one of the gods of my childhood. Every child should have the gift of being loved unconditionally like that. I named my son after him. :)

Sorry, now WAYYYY OT.

i think the thing i like the most about them is that you can get a really shiny reflective effect (much like you would using something like Pixie Epoxy to spackle on a really glittery eyeshadow)... but without any harsh lines or having to deal with the spackle aspect...

i mostly wanted them for my middle eyelid...so i picked the ones that were really shiny.

I can't explain it... They just ARE! The Loreal Infallible eyeshadows are compared to Armani Eyes To Kill, but a fraction of the cost. They are like a creamy, pressed pigemnt of sorts. We just started discussing them in here because several of us were wondering if they were comparable to these EC shadows. Some say yes, others (like Temptalia) say no. I haven't placed my order for these EC Shadows yet, since I'm waiting for IV to show up on MAC, but when I do receive them, I'll compare them and let you know what I think. Either way, the Loreal shadows are fantastic and a welcomed addition to my stash! They are great products in their own right. I think everyone should try at least one since they are so cost affective.

Here's the thread where they are being discussed specifically: http://www.specktra.net/t/178374/loreal-color-infallible-eyeshadow#post_2248304

LOL!!! You'll thank me when you get them and love them! HeeHee
I'm sure that I (and my daughter) will love them - thanks again for the CP. For those interested, this is the list of what I purchased:

Taupe
Iced Latte
Amber Rush
Eternal Sunshine
Perpetual Purple
Liquid Diamond
Golden Emerald
Endless Sea
Glistening Garnet
Bottomless Java
Smouldering Plum

I'm not sure that's a large enough sample for me to really see if I like the formula, but I'll make do.
