Cosmetics companies often change the ingredients they use to whatever is cheaper at the time, which probably accounts for the difference in the colours. Not really fair when they claim to be repromoting a color, imo

I was thinking this, too! The ingredients might be harder to get ahold of, or FDA regulations change, too.

I'm so sad Moth Brown isn't the same :( and I bought 2 of them. I hope I like the one that comes in the mail on Monday! Liesierre is making me kind of want Guacamole, though! Gold pearl yumm!

I've toyed with the idea of being a MA. I do love art, and colors and I have that basis, and I know how to keep my stash and brushes clean and sanitized, I just have ZERO experience applying makeup on other people! LOL. I do have co-workers, friends and customers wanting me to do their make-up, so I gotta take em up on those offers eventually and get the ball rolling! On some level I'm terrified I'm a twentysomething with no idea what I want to do for a career and at the same time my mind is bouncing off all sorts of nifty ideas of where I want to go!

My family members often want me to do their makeup, but I lack the confidence and skill. I feel so awkward doing makeup on the left side of people's faces because I'm right handed and I my hand feels so awkward in that direction. Lol, not for me!

I've been thinking about getting the matte mixing medium but when I checkout, I forget! I love matte lippies! I'm sure you'll do something beautiful.

I feel the new MB looks more dupable. I'm pretty sure I have a similar shade in one of my Naked palettes or Nude'Tude. *sigh* I do like the gray/taupe, but I'm with everyone else: I want my purple shimmery shift! Wahh!

I haven't been feeling too good so i've been sorta MIA. Boo. Thankfully, I feel better now so I'm backkkkk!

Wow. I can't believe the issues that people are having with the BR collection. Overall, it's been a total frenzy! First, the lipsticks sell out. Then people have canceled orders. After that, orders have been getting screwed up. Now, the colors, etc aren't the same. Like geez, what's next MAC?

I'm sorry you weren't feeling well, but good to hear you're better! Welcome Back! I think MAC should do By Request: Giving Customers What They Want! Lol. Serious though! I saw a pic on Instagram where someone had 8 each of the BR lipsticks and they were "all reserved" smh.

I totally agree! They did really bad with this collection and I'm sure they're getting tons of complaints. It's been a mess.

Wait. 8 of each lipsticks? How greedy is that? The most i've seen on Instagram is maybe 2 of each lipstick and even with that, people were in the comments upset. I posted a picture of my lipsticks (2 CYY, 1 Moxie, 1 Rocker) and even someone was upset with me that I had 2 CYY. Eh.

I'm glad I skipped the eyeshadows. MB was the most interesting looking one, and *meh* now that they changed it. Jete is pretty, but not special enough for me to pursue.

Mercifully, my lipsticks all arrived safely last week (1 of each). I haven't tried any of them yet though. Kind of afraid to open CYY and Moxie at the same time because I have 2 other bright pinks I bought this year (Quick Sizzle, Girl About Town) and I haven't gotten to the point yet where I feel OK wearing them regularly.

Ordered CoC as well, and it looks beautiful! I hope it comes out more red on me; for some reason, every single red lipstick and lipglass I buy ends up fuschia or hot pink on my lips.

I hope if they do it again, they learn to go about it in a better way. Like if your winning lipstick wins, you get a one-time use code to buy it before everyone else or something! The orders missing lipsticks is a different story. They better get a lockdown in inventory and order fulfillment. Yeah the poster has an IG name that just lists pictures of items for sale - designer brand watches, sunglasses and basically all second-hand items for sale. So far no one's commented about why they had so many lipsticks. Argh. I noticed a lot of comments for 2CYYs people saying they should give the other one away or they'd buy it etc. Potential CYY Dupe: I saw online swatches of Stila's Giggle luxe gloss - it reminds me of CYY, though glossy. I might try to track it down to compare! It looks pretty opaque, too. And it has a wand applicator, not the annoying click-pen packaging that Stila usually has.
