Haha I was gonna reply to you cuz u wrote about the bp and u are the same skin tone as me as far as color!!! Then saw you shouted me out, ah i love you already!!! Girl you're gonna love it I used the 129 brush and put it over my cheeks and over brows as a highlighter then I picked up a little more and used it all over my face I def love and am glad I got a b/u coming my way! Lol love makes you do crazy things! But makeup love, that's a different story you go through extremes for items you wantHa! My husband didn't believe me when I told him that I was getting a lipstick from the UK! He also thinks I'm crazy

Glad I've found a place like this, not many ladies I know are nuts about makeup. It's also good to know ladies nearby to help out in search of LE items we might miss out on.
I got lucky this time with the MM collection, I was anticipating craziness and was able to do a pre-order with my brothers GF (she works for MAC).
I only had the funds to get what I reallllly wanted, no $ for any b/u
If not I would gladly share with the lovely ladies of this site. I know how it feels to have your heart crushed when you can't get something you have been looking forward to for MONTHS.

Well I know yesterday they had both dazzleglasses, the nail polishes, the Legendary blush, and three of the eyeshadows...but they were sold out of the BP and all of the lipsticks. Maybe that's why?

My mom received my Marilyn package this evening!
I'm so f'ing happy. FINALLY!!!! I have to wait to see her on Saturday when we go out for my brother's birthday celebration. I can hardly wait to get my lippies. Tx everyone for your words of encouragement and patience.

The german MAC site screwed up BIG this time. With all Marilyn and also By Request orders, and also because of giving out false info multiple times. But the biggest problem is apparently they haven't shipped out anything yet, meaning nobodys' MM or BR order, they're pending for one week now! Some already got cancelled, but nobody has any idea what's going on really. I'm just glad I went with my gut feeling and already got The Perfect Cheek somewhere else, I had a funny feeling about this order from the start.

totally off topic as far as the marilyn monroe collection goes, but I remember seeing a post where someone stated that a lot of "fake" products are sold on ebay & to be careful when purchasing from there.. this is mighty naive of me but how do you know when a seller is legitimate? For example I missed out on the iris apfel collection (something I never got over).. and I found this on ebay for a reasonable price!

With all this talk about the "magical" qualities of the BP, I wanted to look at what some of the ingredients were. I was just curious if there were unique ingredients that might explain the overall positive reviews of the Marilyn BP.
Some of the ingredients confirm what everyone has been raving about with this powder. There is an ingredient in it that prevents the powder from settling in fine lines/wrinkles, which would give that soft focus or airbrushed looked everyone keeps mentioning.
Also, there was an ingredient in it that gives a pearlescent or sheen type finish, so that would answer why so many keep talking about the "glow" that the BP gives.
There are also a lot of skin conditioning ingredients, ingredients that absorb oil, and ingredients that make the powder feel silky soft.
So, I just thought I would share what I found. I found it interesting since it confirms what everyone is talking about with this Marilyn BP.

I would call the Mac's Canada customer service number. I randomly called today because I had skipped Pure Zen, and then decided I had wanted it. Sure enough they had PZ, Scarlet Ibis and Deeply Adorned in stock. Along with both blushes, glosses, and some others. The rep said they had gotten a shipment in today. It won't be available online, over the phone only. Iv'e gotten tons of products this way. I never go based on the site anymore, I always call. Only thing is there is a flat rate shipping cost of $7.50 for up to 10 items. I called right as they were closing (5pm ET time) So i'd definitely try first thing tomorrow.
