For those of you who went to the pre-release party and got Outrageously Fun l/s, have you decided if it's unique or if there are any dupes for it? People have mentioned it being kind of close to some colors (Naughty Saute comes to mind), but no one seems to think it looks enough like any other color to pass up. Thoughts? I'm trying to stop being such a bright pink lipstick addict, but if it's unique enough, I'll give in!

Success with Catch My Eye Fluidline! This one applies the way that I'm used to - nice and smooth. I tried one eye with NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base and left the other eye bare. It applied smoothly to both. The color is also really pretty. My eyes are too irritated now to try Little Black Bow. I'll have to do that one tomorrow and I'll try Feminine Edge again. I'm still not sure if Feminine Edge is a dud or if there may be something wrong with that specific color.

I should mention that I only wear my Fluidlines as eye liners, not as bases all over the eye. So I tested them only as eye liners.
Oh nice! If you take pics please do post them for us to see! Thanks as always for your input!

Try it with a primer. I think that's always the way to go. Even though I have dry skin that everything sticks to, I always use a primer unless it's a paint pot or a mufe aqua cream. Let me know how it goes b/c if it still sucks, that means I can skip the first part of this collection completely and that's awesome.
I agree with CartoonChic that Feminine Edge is a bit clumpy. I found it really patchy and sheer at first, but then I tried the above suggestion and it looks so much better!

Left is over primer (Urban Decay PP) and right is on bare skin. It is super sparkly!

Catch My Eye seemed to have a lot more color to it and could probably be used as a base, but by the time I swatched it I had already made my purchase and didn't want to get back in line! Little Black Bow looked like sparkly black in the pot, but I didn't swatch it.

ohh the drama. i get to the store at 6:55 like 8 people before me and no one in the store. then at 7 we all go in and im the third in line to pay and the 2 nailpolishes i wanted, the eyeshadows, pink fluidlines were all sold out!!! im like WTF and i told them and they are like ohh is soo crazy and im like lady no one has payed you obviosly had pre orders and everything sold out before the party!!??? whats the point of having a fucking party then. i payed 5 things and the walked out. i felt bad for all the people outside that didnt have pre-orders.

some ladys were drinking like crazy and writing what they wanted. by the time they get to the register everything was going to be sold out and they drunk as hell.

sso into the things.

the shadows look sooo tiny. i wanted ready to party such a pretty lavander but it was sold out. a natural flirt is so blahh to me. i couldnt believe it. the everthing that glitters polish beautiful!! and in the lime light looks doesnt look like miss chivious mint. it has more green in it. compare to the blue in the miss C. they didnt have it in the display. they were all wearing it. so yeah that one sold out not in presale but when they all got it.

so i got innocence peachy but with golden shimmer. outrageosly fun i dont know what to compare that to yet and Dramatic encounter not like rocker or YR its darker. flight of fancy i love. catch my eye fluidline. ohh and glamourdaze for my mom.

so yeah sorry i didnt check all the other stuff like the sets, those drunks where all over the displays. i have some pics of the models "singers"?? im also going to compare my haul that i got in my stash. im just going to have dinner and take some tylenol!!

Here is In the Limelight nail polish. I applied 2 coats with basecoat and topcoat. You can't use only 1 coat, as it is very streaky. After 2 coats it is much better, but 3 would probably be best to avoid any patchiness. The mint color is lovely but the formula is a bit thin. I don't normally wear MAC polish so I can't really compare to their other ones.

Pretty! It looks similar to Essie's Absolutely Shore.

Under-eye liner? I don't even do that because it just draws attention to the bags under my eyes. This thing has to work as a liner or a base or just count me out.

Shontay,

Bags? Oh geez!

Then maybe it would be better as a base for other pink e/s or you could do a black winged liner and wing the pink on top - on a pretty neutral eye? I'm thinking that this is def a special occasion e/l.

It is nothing like Naughty Saute. At least not in my opinion.

Yeah, I have hereditary bags under my eyes. Life's not fair, but it's what I have to deal with. That's a good suggestion, but looking at the swatch above, I think I'm going to skip it. It's not going to translate onto my skin tone very well. Not the way I want it to anyway. :sigh:

so primer is needed for this

You purchased it already, right? Then I would return it (or put for sale in the bin) & get something I could use.

Hi everyone, newbie coming out of lurkdom!
newhere.gif

HC *almost* got me to sign up, but this has finally pushed me over the edge, I just can't stay silent any longer!

I've actually been staying away for a little while, so I've got a lot of catching up to do - on p35 of this thread but I'm reading it all, hate missing links/pics/swatches LOL.

I'm kind of a make-up noob too. Not a kid mind you (35, how the heck did that happen) but never really got into wearing makeup when I was younger, although I still seem to have acquired a reasonable size stash, go figure.
Welcome to the club, there are a few of us one here that discovered makeup later, and amassed a crazy stash in a short time =)

Oh thank goodness! Catch My Eye was the only FL on my list. It looks like such a LOVELY color, I can't wait to add it to my collection

Outrageously Fun really is a pink Up The Amp. I'm actually shocked that none of my other pink lipsticks are similar. They're all either too bright or too dark. I'm getting a BU of this one. Hold the phone! I just realized that Chanel Extatique may be similar... I just checked. Yup they're similar. They don't appear to be in the tube with Extatique looking more pink, but you can see it on my hand. They both have that purple-pink color.

Chanel Extatique - MAC Outrageously Fun

so technically I can wait on Outrageously Fun and buy the chanel version?
How does the Chanel color compare to PInk Popcorn?

Glamour Daze EDES swatches.

Top Row: A Natural Flirt - Stolen Moment - Tall, Dark & Handsome - Evening Grey
Bottom Row: Divine Blue - Stylishly Merry - Ready To Party

Divine Blue - Stylishly Merry - Ready To Party - A Natural Flirt - Stolen Moment - Tall, Dark & Handsome - Evening Grey

I didn't use a primer for the swatches. I also used the 215 brush that I purchased specifically for EDES and L'Oreal Infallible shadows. I was not about to ruin them by swatching with my fingers. I like A Natural Flirt a lot better now after swatching with my brush. The peachy sheen is very pretty. I think the tester last night may have been ruined at the event. I'm now thinking about going back for Round Midnight because the tester could've been bad. Tall, Dark & Handsome doesn't have any extra sparkles that I see and it looks more like a charcoal gray than black. I still like it though. I've definitely joined Team Taupe after swatching Stolen Moment.
do you have tweet me from peacocky? if so can you compare it to a natural flirt?
