Pursue your happiness. If make up makes you happy, why not do something with that? Being happy with what you do for a living is very important...
Thanks for the positive words:) That's also what I try to explain my parents now, but they don't really get how important and how happy makeup makes me. Luckily other people do see it and I'm sure that one day I can make them understand when I'm doing what I want to do!

@hwdsprincess:
My daughter is nearly blind. One eye has 1% vision, the other less. It is amazing what she can do with that poor vision. People come up to me all the time in awe of what they see her doing. How she's running about, doing things all the other kids are doing. Your son sounds like a smart kid. It might seem depressing now, but have confidence that he will find ways to cope with his colour blindness. It will not affect his happiness. Have faith

aww, those are the things that make me happy, the things they can overcome, it's like my daughter she was born a premie at 29 weeks and they said she might not make it, she made, they said she might be slower than other kids, she's one of the smartest w honor roll and student of the year, she's def done everything they said she couldn't or wouldn't be able to do because of being born early, and my son well they said he had add and well i still don't think he does only sometimes but he's one of the smartest in his class as well, and his color blindess at first bummed me out but it honestly could be worse and as long as he's the happy child he is i'm happy, i didn't show i was worried or else it might rub off but i always ensourage my kids to try their best at everything and i'm happy to say i'm a proud mom and couldn't be more happier than what my kids have accomplished in school and in anything they do and will always continue to be proud of them no matter what someone says they can't do. Thanks for sharing with me I feel a lot better, happy to hear your daughter as well continues to be a happy child.

The eye pencil is really really pretty on. But yeah, the Lipstick & Blush are gorgeous, especially the lipstick. I don't think I have anything else quite like this lipstick color.
YOu are tempting me. I need something to boost my mood this week. My house was broken into on Monday. Took my laptop, camera, and 3 Tiffany bracelets.

I finally tried my goodies. Was trying to wait to take pics of them, but oh well. LOL
I wore RTP, ANF, and SM today. I put ANF on my lids, and it is a really pretty color. I wasn't going to get it. RTP is gorgeous, (puton the outside crease), but it reminds me of the purple in the shop/drop quad, and Stolen Moment is lovely, I put it in my inner crease. My only issue, is I hate when I wear ANY shade of purple how it makes everything I wear look like a purple and pink combo. Right now ANF is showing up pink.

I'm sorry :( Someone broke into our garage at home last weekend and stole over £3000 worth of bikes and stuff. It makes me so sad that people could do stuff like that!

My daughter is content. She is not materialistic like a lot of other kids. She is happy with the little things in life. She is one of the smartest kids in class, learning braille (and yes, also "normal" text, be it with her nose stuck against the paper). That is what is most important: that they are happy. The only thing that can get you / them down is saying what they can't do instead of all the wonderful things they can do.

By the way, my children were not born prematurely, but I am convinced that premature children are born fighters that will get there no matter what...

Geez, no one is having any luck lately!

Thankfully the most expensive thing in my house is probably the beds/tvs and then my laptop and make-up collection or my Mom's ornaments. Pretty bad really, but we just don't have the money for expensive things so unless someone wants to come in and steal my make-up, I'm not worrying, lol.

I think as a parent we teach them to appreciate the little things in life and not the materialistic things. I love reading my daughters journals saying she had the best day ever because she got to ride the front seat of the car for her birthday or my son telling his friends he had a good weekend carving pumpkins. the only thing my daughter asked for was a lipstick lol i told her in a few years other than that they rather spend their time outside riding bikes or playing w chalk in the patio we have toys but those get ignored so easier for me i got lucky with kids that just enjoy life and each others company.

awww that's cute she tries, so happy for her and you it's def one of the best feelings in the world to be a parent of a happy child lol i'm getting teary eyed just thinking of my babies, great job MACerette I admire you, you're a great mom

I know right! My house is so boring. I would rahter trade them the stuff they took for my TV.

She said the word "paper," so I'm thinking it's regular gift wrap. I was hoping for a bag. The 179 and 167SH. I'm blanking on the others at the moment.
The 179 and 167SH. I'm blanking on the others at the moment. Both are great brushes; 179 is the angled split fiber blending/kabuki & the 167SH is the face blender from Hey Sailor. I just called one of my contacts to see if they had any hanging around, but they don't. Will be on the look out elsewhere for you!

It's awful when they take things that are irreplaceable like photos :( Also if anyone stole my makeup I would cry like a baby!
Yup. My 16yr old brothers has two female friends who like make-up, so I showed my collection. While I trust them, I found myself still watching them like a hawk to make sure not a thing went missing. Tis also why I have my inventory on Excel - for insurance purposes. Most of my stuff is LE, I couldn't afford to replace any of it. Esp as some of it is impossible to find like Ripe Peach Blush Ombre, etc. But I would totally cry like a baby.

Ahhh ... I've been taking on extra shifts at work just to fund my huge hauling of this collection!  I have to wait another 2 weeks to get all my stuff cos' I bought it through a parcel forwarding company, oh well! building the excitement! I actually caved and got the Divine Desire pink paramour kit after elegant-one's rave review!  And after I saw this girl's review on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2timvWMhRk  she's wearing all the products from the kit and they look SO CUTE on her (she's gorgeous though, so anything would look good on her! lol)
She did look very pretty..loved the look she created with the kit!
