It doesn't oxidise on me at all. I've never had trouble with it myself. And I love the violet scent, the best thing about Meteorites imo. :)
That's good to know. I wasn't going to start using my new Meteorites compact until I finish my Kanebo loose powder but I'll probably give it a whirl tomorrow and hope for the best.

re: Violet scent - I don't find it at all unpleasant but I'm just not used to having scented stuff on my face. I am OK with Rouge G so I'll probably be fine with the powder too. It probably won't linger for too long anyway :)

No it doesn't. I love sniffing my Meteorites, it's such a lovely scent.

Let me know how you get on with the powder, I'm sure it'll be fine though.

OK, made my first haul from the holiday collection. I picked up Lou-Ling lipstick and the Turandot shadow quad. I decided to wait on the calligraphy palette only because the store is having an event on Thursday and I can pick it up then and have my makeup done at the same time. I'm still contemplating the dragon ballz. Although I'm cooler-toned, I think that the quad will work well against my blue eyes. Can't wait to try it out!!!!

I parted my ways with my compacts today. All 3 of them. I exchanged the one I got from ICIParisXL with a Sisley oil free foundation (my local branch had one in my shade! woooot!) and and my mum got a refund for the ones I bought from Sephora.

Things oxidise a lot on me, so I figured I shouldn't risk it. Half the reviews on MUA mentioned oxidisation, which is not a good sign. I'm really disappointed because the texture of the powder is sublime and I would have loved it to work for me. But the prospect of walking around like a carrot-human crossbreed was simply too awful, especially with the price tag.

Ah well, I'll live :)

It is indeed.. I got les perles this time, and I already own les fauves and les ombres turadont :)
I've been curious about that one. I was worried it might look too frosty on me, but the colours look gorgeous. I swear I'm going to end up collecting all the Guerlain quads eventually... Currently have five. And from that picture we saw of the Spring collection, I suspect I'll be adding both of those.

Yuck! That's no good. I've been wearing the Perles/Ballz this week and honestly haven't noticed anything different, but an extremely strong fragrance (which can't be good for the skin.) It may have oxidized on me one day or it may have been my foundation. I can't tell yet. I'm going to try the compact over the weekend. I'm really hoping it's able to matteify like it says. With my oily breakthrough, though, I'm definitely fearful of oxidization.

Couldn't wait to try out my new goodies... The quality of the shades in the Turandot palette is incredible, even by Guerlain standards. I feel as if they're getting better at the formula with each release.

Good luck! Chances are you'll be fine. I normally take reviews on MUA with a pinch of salt, particularly those about expensive products because people tend to have unrealistic expectations of them and be unreasonably critical when evaluating them. But having half the reviewers on MUA mentioning oxidisation must mean something, right? Experience has taught me that if a powder or foundation can oxidise, it will defo oxidise on me. So whenever I read a word starting with "oxi..." in a powder or foundation review, I run for the hills!

I tend to be susceptible to oxidizing, too, so I am heeding your warning. Should I apply the pressed powder with a fluffy brush or a puff?
