Great Breakdown!!!! You go girl!!! I like Laura Geller and I always tune in when she is on QVC!!!Someone earlier mentioned that they didn't understand what the pearlmattes were supposed to do. I'm going to try to take a stab at some explanation of the different powders. Maybe MAC-Guy could do a much better job than me in offering explanation if he wants. He is certainly amazingly knowledgeable! Or anyone else.
With all the different powders, they each kind of have their own task. Of course it will depend on personal preference, but in general:
Pearlmattes are very finely milled, some beautiful pearl base which helps soft focus the skin, some skin correcting color. Can be a light blush, but in general a light veil over the skin. Think of it as a beautiful silk stock over the skin, you can still see the skin but now it has this slight very sheer soft covering.
Highlighters - Generally, they add a soft sheen with light reflections in them making the skin look lifted & lovely. They are wonderful when used in a "c" around the outer part of the eye area. Chanel's highlighters are almost too gorgeous looking in the pan to even use, but theirs are very very light, sheer barely-there accents. Other highlighters can be middle of the road white/yellow/champagne/pink cast light enhancers for the skin. Then there are the "workhorse" highlighters, they are a bit heavier but they camouflage, cover redness, spot correct, help dark circles, deep wrinkles/recesses in the skin. I use Laura Geller's baked highlighter with this awesome paddle applicator - its a major workhorse highlighter & I absolutely LOVE it! Beauty Powders are usually very soft finely milled & are skin-enhancing barely there second skin powders. Just a nice soft boost with some subtle hint of color.
Powders like the new NARS Reflecting Powders are strictly for light reflection on the skin giving your face a soft-focus, veiled complexion, flawless skin appearance. They are extremely light weight soft barely there powders with no color. Great for photographs
There are high-tech kind of powders like MAC's Elude. Extremely finely milled, It enhances the complexion while offering an edgey tonal whitening and extreme flawless veiling of the complexion.
Skinfinishes - like the mineral skinfinishes are powders that you buff into the skin, having more color but also highlight with more of a metallic or pearl sheen.
Contour Powders - they are like Spanx in powder form, creating visual angles, sucking things in, thinning planes of the face out, making other features stand out more.
Then there are the general powders of medium softness & opacity that you fluff over the face that can offer any number of face coverages.
All general & by no means complete, but its been asked a bit so I thought this might serve as a general over-view

Interesting to me because, compared to my lips, she has almost no lip color at all. I don't base my final decision on her lip color, but her arm swatches do help me.I do not like Temptalia's lip swatches...If I went by those swatches I would never purchase a lipstick!!! I wish she would mute out her natural lip color...IMO....IM JUSS SAYIN'

I posted this on Instagram yesterday... and there is a tiny bit of a filter on here so take it was you want.... but here you go.Hey ladies, hope everyone is well and enjoying their Archie's Girls purchase. I ended up moving right after the collection launched so I missed alot of swatches and reviews during the past week. Has anyone tried kiss and don't tell over Betty Bright? I ordered BB but hasn't arrrived yet. If it ends up washing me out a bit b/c I'm a light NC 35 I was thinking of getting Kiss & Don't tell and that might help warm up the color some. Any thoughts?
I really wish I knew which products Betty and Veronica are wearing in the promo shots. Did MAC ever release face charts on the looks?
