I really liked In for a Treat - it looked much nicer on me than the Betty one, which I skipped due to the color not suiting me or either of the Veras, which I really didn't like and skipped. The thing about both of these Baking Beauties PMs is that the texture is exceptional - better than the Archies ones, which were really nice. We are seriously in full Elude territory with these. In for a Treat was extra nice because the amount of green and especially coral was reasonably controllable. It suited my sallow-leaning skin VERY well and looked totally natural. Pink Buttercream also looked great on me, but it's a bit more "nighttime" or formal, since it reads very obviously cool toned.

La la la, I can't hear you

So far nothing really excites me from this collection. Quickly exits thread before any posts can change my mind....

Hey everyone! I was in my store today to pick up Fashion Sets and peek at Extra Dimension when all the Baking Beauties products came in, so I got to try everything out! Biggest surprise: Raspberry Swirl lipstick. I usually do not do well with these sorts of pinks AT ALL and besides, MAC puts so many of them out, they usually seem pretty redundant. BUT, RS is totally gorgeous and looks great even on my old, sallow NC15 skin tone. It just glows, with a beautiful bluish cast. If Lavender Whip is too purple for your taste, you are going to go berry berry crazy over RS. To put it in perspective, if you loved the amount of brightness and lightness in Reel Sexy, but wished it was a perfect bubblegum Barbie pink, RS is the one. Devils Food was an only slightly more brownish Boyfriend Stealer, which has a little more berry cast. The two are extremely close in color and sheerness, except I found Devils Food applied more fussily - it was a bit patchier and showed up dry bits on the lips more, plus Boyfriend Stealer is more buildable. Devils Food isn't buildable. It's a nice color but especially if you have BS, you really don't need it. Pure Decoration is quite pretty. If you love Playing Koi and need an update, PD is a little less strongly pastel and has a nice smooth texture. The only thing for me was, I compared it to Luxe Naturale Mineralize lipstick and it's just about the same color, at least on me (maybe PD is a little more peachy) and for my taste, I liked the glossier finish of Luxe Naturale against my skin. With one of the BEAUTIFUL Pearlmattes, PD might edge out Luxe N. It's a definite maybe or even more if you don't have Playing Koi or are going to be wearing a dewey or slightly light reflective skin texture (or are blessed with one already). Lavender Whip: well yeah, it's really beautiful. No doubt about it. It's surprisingly close to Blooming Lovely on me, but with a much nicer texture. It's so smooth and creamy, just like Raspberry Swirl. It's also a little more glossy than Blooming Lovely, with more of a glow to the color (also with a bluish cast to the brightness, like RS). I've loved BL since Liberty of London and never had LW before, but now I see the big deal about it. It's a BIG winner, of course. My 2 picks are RS and LW with a maybe on PD and a full pass on DF. I'll post about more stuff in a second post, to keep this one short-ish.
I thought it was similiar to BS.

Out of the Paint Pots, of course Eclair is the one. It goes on rich and smooth, with great coverage and a lovely sheen, and no glitter. It's like milk chocolate with a touch of brass sheen.

I liked Fancy Frosting and Mooncake too, but they're the sheer with glitter type of paint pots that you either love or hate. Fancy Frosting made the new Extra Dimension shadows POP like crazy (they're pretty transparent on their own), so that one's coming home with me. Not sure about Mooncake - it's a color people will love, but there's a perm Pro Longwear PP that is very close but with more of an orange cast.

If you are already a fan of the Mineralize Lip Balms, the new ones give more of the same. Of course the blue isn't very bluish on, but it's a nice color for canceling out red lips. Sweet Tooth and Cheery Cherry are so close, I'm not quite sure why they did two of these. Sweet Tooth lightens the lips more. Baking Beauty looks very yellow in the tube, but applies really awesomely - it's fantastic for wearing over peachy nude lipsticks to bring out more peach, and is quite peachy on its own too. If you have purplish lips, I'd call it a must buy. As usual, they blot down fantastically, even when applied on top of lipstick, so you can really control the amount of glossiness while not losing the color tinting effect. Obviously, if you aren't a fan of these, the new colors aren't going to convince you (except maybe Baking Beauty if you like to warm up your nudes). I'm going to get one of each, but not back any of them up.

The brushes look very cute and good quality, but I personally do not like short handled eye brushes and I already have an SH 129. They come with clear vinyl slip cases that the brushes fit totally inside of, which is a nice touch for your purse.

Overall, Raspberry Swirl, Lavender Whip and In For a Treat are the best items, with Eclair as runner up. Not sure about the quantities on these - don't count on high numbers of anything, I'd say, so grab what you can when you can.

Ok, I have pretty much made up my mind of what I would like to get from the new collection. I think I def. want the PP in eclair and maybe mooncake. I want all the LS but really want to swatch them for myself to see what I like and don't like. I think I will pass on everything else, still have to purchase my in dimension items and Rhianna line is coming out soon too, so I cant do too much from this line! Super excited about Raspberry Swirl LS though!!! But I dont really stress over getting MAC collections online simply because the local MAC manager is a friend of mine and anything I really want she puts to the side for me and I pick them up, simple as that!!! lol

Karen has some swatches up. She doesn't seem impressed by this collection but maybe because the products MAC pr sent her don't flatter her skintone.

It sounds like she really wanted more color and "oomph", but honestly I LOOOOOOOOVE the way she looks in her photos here. Super stylish and tasteful, plus it's very youth-giving for her - I swear that look knocks a good 7 years off her face. To me, these pictures are the perfect example of the extreme no-makeup makeup look that is what Spring 2013 is all about, from the high fashion perspective.

hum, Karen post was really interesting! Still don't get Lavender whip (so pale, maybe if i want to dress like a Zombie, this will be a great lipstick to wash all colour from my face LOL) Sometime a really wish to be cooler skin tone to pull off those amazing colours!
So the only Yes so far is Rasberry swirl (even if i'm not looking for a perfect bubblegum barbie pink not sure if this is a good thing)
the Maybe are now eclair PP and lustre drop .... any feedback on them? I never heard about this product before (i'm a newbie as far as MAC product)
How sheer are they in general? do they feel heavy on the skin? Can it be mixed with foundation or tinted moisturizer?
Thanks

Same here! I still regret I didn't buy Budding Love which suited me. Lavander whip should be more purple and pigmented so I don't know if it could suit me as well.

Nothing in this collection is "wow"ing me from what I've seen...the face powders look cute but just look like the usual beauty powders on the skin...nothing spectacular....the only thing that I love is the promo image...and maybe the dark lippie once I see swatches...come on MAC I need you to knock a collection out of the park!! I miss collections like "Heatherette" ,"Sugarsweet", "Cult of Cherry" ,"Balloonacy", "Barbie Loves MAC" ,"Fafi" and even "Gareth Pugh".
You forgot smoke signals! (hehe) That collection was out of this world! I should had bought more.

I'm glad I got Budding Love. I would have had skippers remorse on that one. I think Lavender Whip will look just as beautiful. If in doubt you could always put a pinky tone lip gloss on top, or maybe a light pink lip liner underneath. Just line the whole lip and put LW on top. Because BL has more of a pink tone. At least on my lips it does. :)

Lavender Whip and Raspberry Swirl both look WAAAAAY better on me than Budding Love did, which was just wrong and I didn't even bother to buy it, if that helps any. I think you should be able to wear both, but LW is a bit more subtle than RS if you want only one.
