MAC In Extra Dimension Collection 2013 (April 2013)

All I know is chinablaq is killing it with her Modelesque face! I went To get a pedicure in Berkeley and found out the shop was closed so what did I do? walk on down to the Mac store and what did I try on? shape the future. and what did i buy? it is gorgeous!! they had five left no fingerprints! I had no intention of getting anything when I swatched everything at Macy's but they Didn't have shape the future or definitely defined at that time. Oh and that is Eclair paint pot on my lids

FC is pretty on you China... did you have problems with it being to sheer?

Thank you! I only had issues with the top layer. Once I scrapped past that part it was fine. It can definitely be built up to whatever intensity of choice pretty easily.

I already had mine, so didn't buy it specially just for the ED blushes. Try a kabuki if you have one--these blushes seem to work better with denser brushes (and they seem to get the waxy layer off better, too). I also have a pretty cheap NYX synthetic angled blush brush, and that one worked okay, too, I think because it is kind of stiff (and on the dense side).

Thank you! It's definitely a unique shade that can easily be altered based on your base of choice. I used black track as a base for this look. I swatched it with Painterly pp as a base as well and it looks totally different! Such a pretty shade.

I'm curious.....since Def Defined and STF are the two SF that have been missing from MAC are they the only two that have had prints on them? I can't remember but has anyone found prints on Double Def? That would really solidify my theory about this whole fingerprint coming soon mess.

my double definitions did... the last one I'm just going to keep. It looks a little beat up but to be honest I don't feel like going back and forth to the store... Ain't nobody got time for that.

what is the difference btwn the 1 and 2 brush? 

Sephora goes into great detail. #1 brush is used for powder (pressed or loose). The #2 can be used for powder, liquid foundation, and blush(powder or cream consistency)! Although both brushes will be great addition to one's collection, I say go for the #2 first! I've had mine for over 6 months and I'm just adding on the #1 with VIB 15% of course. I just personally think the #2 goes well with these ED blushes

i ended up purchasing STF in store today...and totally forgot about the fingerprint issue! i just checked mine now and it has some light patches, but i don't think they look like fingerprints on mine, more like water spots.
i guess i can try phoning the store tomorrow, but it'll be a struggle for me to take it over there to return or exchange...i'm kinda wondering whether it's worth it...i do like having my products looking new when i have paid full price for them, and there's obviously a problem with the manufacturing process, but at the same time, i don't suspect my product was touched/swatched/infested with bacteria.
i also picked up blazing haute. i was supposed to stay away from this collection, but i made a mistake by going into the store!!!

I'm not returning any based on the prints. Like i said, i know that powder doesn't harbor bacteria (unless used wrong) so i wipe of the surface with a tissue does me just fine. I'm just waiting to hear back from macys about how to handle to issue of sending me the wrong colour.

i hope they are able to provide you with replacements! i think there are probably plenty available, but let me know if you need a CP...my store seemed to have all the ED products in stock this afternoon.

i love the colour of STF...I can't wait to try it out on my face.

i kind of forgot that these products could be used wet! the artist who helped me told me that the white side of the brushes was to use products wet, and the black side dry or to blend...i completely must have missed that the first time around. was it these products that we have to be hyper careful when using wet so they don't develop a 'crust' or is that a different powder product?

same here. it's unfortunate for mac that they didn't figure out a better way to assemble before releasing all these smudged edsfs!

Just a reminder, the face ones aren't meant to be used wet. Just the eyes. Unsure about the blush as they're a new product.

That's true... This item was marked coming soon for a bit after release date, maybe factory machine broke down and they just hand assembled to get the products out...
