MAC Baking Beauties Collection (April 2013)

You can imagine my delight when my two loves combined for this collection! These were the two cakes I made for our morning meeting, I embellished a bit with the flowers on the mint colored cake because I live in Hawaii and thought a little nod to the hibiscus flower would be fun

Picked up Eclair today, and that's it. What conclusion did we come to regarding the 129 SE? I asked the girls at my Mac store and they assured me and promised me that it was the same quality as the regular 129SH and the 'SE' was only because of the colouring. I want to pick it up because I wanted the 129SH but I think its way too risky... the 129 is already not the best in terms of softness and shedding.

Edit: I also picked up Rubenesque (can't believe I never had this bad boy). I wang to try a look with either Indianwood or Rubeneque on the inner lid and Eclair on the outer V and in the crease. I think with a couple 217's and blending it could be nice!

I missed out on calling my stores too b/c of the rain here in Chgo. I was stuck on my train for two hours, turned around, came home and my basement is flooded.

I read there are sink holes opening up and eating cars! Are you guys alright? I've been frantically getting ahold of friends in Chicago.

I woke up way too late to head down to my favorite counter to check out LW 2013 Edition and some of the paint pots. Now, I'm wondering if it's even worth it to call and hold just in case I love them. I didn't think this collection was going to have sell out issues within the first hour of release but yall are making me a bit worried.
And I wasn't even thinking about RS, but it looks great on every single person here. I wish I hadn't slept on this collection (pun intended).

I'm freaking out.

The sweet MUA at MAC who talked me into a "makeover" said she'd save the seven products on my list for me. So i didn't stalk and didn't rush down to my local MAC before they opened today.

I just called to confirm (my appt. is tomorrow AM). She's out sick and no one could find my bag of stuff. And of course Lavender Whip is sold out and it was Number#1 on my list. I hope she stashed it somewhere or i'm going to cry

Eclair appears to lean bronze and Constructivist looks more brown---that surprised me because on my eyes they appear the opposite

Thanks for the info about the Color Tattoos. I may try one just to see how it works for me. For great neutrals I may stick w/ PP. I just tried them for the first time last month and was impressed with the lasting power. I slept w/ my eye makeup on and still looked good in the morning. (Don't judge! I was testing the MUAs claim of them not creasing for 24 hours.)
It has been raining here non-stop so I was just thinking about our old house where I'm certain the basement is flooded. Do not miss that at all. I know you say it's not bad, but be careful of mold. Btw I didn't realize you lived only about 3.5 hours away. I was in Oak Brook just last month. You may have to take me shopping next time I come that way.

I am... but there are some areas still badly flooded. They got the cars out of that sink hole. In most places the water is beginning to recede.

The quality of the paint pots are better than the color tattoos. But I use mine mostly as bases so for that purpose, I skip most paint pots and go for the color tattoos. I can't wait to see the comparison of richa mahogany and eclair baby1black. Then again, it may mean that I have to purchase eclair.....we'll see

I agree Lavender Whip is 20x better than VGNICKI 2....So, much so that I purchased 2 with the early release and went to a counter today and bought 2 more!!! I have been rocking it all week at work!!!!
