I have to complain about Mac's customer service. I am allergic to the ingredients Carmine and Bismuth Oxychloride (depending on the degree of it). I try to get ingredient lists of products. I emailed Bobbi Brown they email me back with the ingredient list. Mac...no email at all. I am interested in Flicker pressed pigment. Luckily I tried it at the store and it seemed ok but still. Why are they so secretive?

Riri Woo is different. They have a lot of stock for Riri Woo because it's getting released twice in the black packaging in two different months that's why there's "still" a lot of it going around. But what I didn't make clear was that I think MAC doesn't make the same number of lipsticks in every collection (i.e they produce more for Archies and Rihannah than say a smaller collection like the YOTS embossed lipsticks or mattenes from StyleSeeker or in this case AAO). Bottomline is only MAC knows how much they actually produce every collection.

EDT: But anyway, my AAO (plus some perms) stuff shipped so horay for that! happy bananer..

Of course. I'd even say they've probably lowered the amount of beauty powders and nail polishes they produce for each collection because they're usually the last ones to sell out in everything. I can still find beauty powders for Baking Beauties everywhere while most of the lipsticks are gone.

My only point is MAC can create a system of major demand by limiting the supply online. This isn't a small company, I just don't really believe they can't have enough product to last more than a day online. Also MAC has been well aware of this problem for a while, if say it was a fluke or just an error it'd be fixed by now right? But it hasn't. Wonder why

I think it works well for them to have people feeling like they have to get their MAC product 'NOW' or they'll be no future chance. If you can't get it online the odds are you'll pounce immediately if you catch it at Nordstrom or a MAC store.

Like I said MAC gets the $15-$16 whether someone buys it for themselves or buys 20 to sell online at super-jacked up cost. Just seems like if it were a mistake it'd be fixed by now.

haha I'm glad you gave them a piece of your mind!

I swear the customer service at mac stores in my area is ridiculous, a lot of the sales girls have no concept of customer service, mac should really invest in training them to deliver this because i feel like they recruit people who are void of any interpersonal skills. Especially in the more reputed stores like Selfridges, i've come across quite a few rude sales girls, I'd much rather take my money elsewhere and spend it on a brand who is more about customer service and less about shifting high volumes of product. I would defo complain next time it happens.
At least all of you actually have a Macy's that sells MAC. The one in my city doesn't...so if I want to buy it from Macy's I have to go online or drive about 100 miles to next closest Macy's! We only have a MAC counter in Dillard's here.

Christine of Temptalia is quite a bit darker than you are and quite warm toned, too - she's NC30. You are lighter than i am and i know that what washes her out might look fine on me - and also on you. If you are not far from a MAC shop or counter, i would recommend testing the lipsticks.

I know that what looks good on Christine is often really horrible on my Neutral 15-20 face. Brights that look terrific on her really wash me out, and paler colors that look kinda sick on her look fine on me.

i bought rs only since there are no lippies available that I wanted, maybe i should just skip it and save my money instead of stalking nordies later, we ll see
I'm with you I may just skip it since I wasn't dying for them and I have reel sexy which may be pretty close to sk and I never wear it. Mac thrives on hype and I think they rather sell out then have a lot of product left over

Well, I called MAC today to complain about the stock/ insane quick sellouts that have been happening almost every release. The supervisor says we understand the frustration with LE releases to which I replied, almost instant sellouts every collection that most people do not even get a chance to buy is beyond LE - it's ridiculous. You should have enough stock for longer than 5 minutes. As a great customer of MAC I cannot buy one of an item right at release time, but a seller on ebay has 20 or so to sell of each item. I get the LE thing, but its been a bit insane the last few releases.

Estee Lauder Corp. called me just an hour after that because they wanted to note what they could improve on. They looked at my account & said, "yeah, you really are a great customer".

The last few times I've gone to a Macys, no one even wants to wait on me, or even answer a question because they are doing someone's makeup. The other day when I bought a lipstick the girl was actually quite rude about having to wait on me.
Thank you for doing this. The whole limited release situation is really getting out of hand - not only online but also in stores.

On a fluke I was able to get my products from this collection. I say on a fluke because I just happened to check the MAC site when everything went live. A few minutes later I would have been SOL. I don't have ample time to invest in stalking a website, nor do I want to spend my evenings refreshing the MAC site. Plus I work most days and can never go to counters on release days in time to get any of the "hot" products. Top this all off with the extremely sketchy presale policy that seems to change at a moments notice, it is annoying. This will probably continue, however, as long as people buy their products. So we are most likely stuck with this until it affects the company's bottom line.

If I'm able to purchase the day before (my mac manager lets me if he's working) you think I could b2m the day before as well?
Probably!
Rude SA's are never ok, however being a MUA and having worked at a makeup counter before I can tell you first hand that MUA's come across plenty of rude customers who treat us like we are servants.  I have personally had customers shove a product in my face and say "I want this"...not "Hi how are you, can you help me?".  Or the customers who see that every MUA at the counter is busy assisting someone else, and even though they are greeted and assured someone will be right with them, have nasty attitudes about not being helped quick enough!  Even though we are in retail, MUA's are people with feelings too, so it's hard to not be affected by rude, impatient people.Another pet peeve is people assume that all SA's work on commission (I never worked off commission so my check was the same no matter how much you purchase), so when they are greeted and ask if they need anything, they assume we are sale hungry and either ignore us or are rude....sorry about ranting but I feel like SA's get thrown under the bus on Specktra a lot and all of them aren't rude, sales hungry snobs!
Thank you! I've had customers actually grab my arm demanding i help them. Let's just say that didn't go over to well!

Let's just hope Elegant-one's feedback to Estee Lauder changes some things.

Ohmygosh that is just lovely on you! I thought it would be a really bright orange. Thanks!
Thank you! It is pretty bright but the Heroine underneath kinda tones it down and makes it a kinda coral-y type color. I'll go swatch it solo in a sec!

697 New Posts! I'm not reading all that. I've been checking online all week for this collection but today I was just too busy. I saw the email just now and go to the site and everything is sold out . I don't know if I even want to bother anymore. My enthusiasm has waned.
