I'm waiting to see swatches of Adored - any glitter makes it a no-buy. I have Light Year (and gave away Star Wonder); that's as glittery as I ever want to get. I really have all the highlighters I'm ever going to need since I apply them with a fan brush, but I like the pics of this one. How it translates to skin is the key issue.

I love CSGs and it doesn't bother me at all that they're smaller. I recently finished last year's Strictly Plutonic and I have a few scant drops of Meteoric left; I'm ready for Narcissus and Fever Isle! The 159 is a no-brainer - I love duo-fibre brushes.

I'm not buying much at this point. I just signed the contract for a new deck and I'm getting quotes on stone pathways. I think my play money will be spent on making the outside of my house purty for the next few months!

I'm the same with the CSGs, I still love them even though they have less product. They're just so smooth and creamy and easy to use alone and pigmented or lightly w another lip product. I'm more of a lipstick girl than a gloss girl but Cremesheen glasses are definitely my type of gloss. I'm excited for Fever Isle too!

Another member posted it changed to in stores on the 27th. That just seems really early ya know!
I wonder if its for all stores or just certain ones, I remember temperature rising was released a wk earlier at my local mac store

That might not mean much in Canada, but in the US it's a MAJOR holiday, with people in the park or backyard having big, family barbecue parties, or away on long-weekend (or longer) vacations.

I know i'm leaving town on the 3rd and won't be back until the 8th - i'm doing medieval camping and cooking medieval recipes over real charcoal fires in copies of medieval cooking pots with a huge crew of other historic cooks.
And everybody with

So Thurs. 4 July, a baaaad idea in the US. I think that's why they changed the date.

For some reason there is no mac store there! Just the counters at Nordstrom and Macys.

Do you think I should just wait in front of one and call and hold the products in the other then? Both Nordstroms and Macy's do holds?

Thanks!

EDIT: checked the map, and while the two aren't opposite ends, its still a walk in which I lose time in!
Wow! Old Orchard! I'm sure it doesn't look anything like it did when i was a kid, but that was the "shopping center" we used to go to. I grew up in Highland Park.

Nordstrom is much more high end than Macy's. I have had good luck finding MAC products through Nordstrom. If a Nordstrom i was in (here in California) didn't have it, they'd phone around to find one that did and send it to me. Macy's (at least here in California) is always advertising sales on TV, so i suspect they may draw in a younger crowd.

I'd start at Nordstrom, and if they don't have what i want, see if the MAC counter will phone the Macy's counter to hold something.

I'd actually much prefer it was released on the 4th. I don't have school that day, plus I should have my financial aid refund in by that date.

Thanks ladies! I guess both are good, I know where the mac counter is in Nordstrom so maybe I'll start there and call Macy's for a hold? I can't ever seem to locate myself in that Macy's :s

It's cool know that everywhere you go there are specktrettes :)

I really like the Cremesheens, more so than the regular lipglasses. I just wish they'd lower the price a bit because after tax, they're over $25 each. Maybe I'll get lucky and score a few Cremesheens next time I find my self at the CCO.

Im gonna call my friend who works at MAC Im sure she will know, will let you guys know what she says...
That would be great! I was hoping this would come out on the fourth but I guess I need to plan for any changes.

Can't they just release this and Rihanna on the same day and make it easy?

I thought July 4th in store?? June 27th online? Hasn't it always been set as July 4th release date?
All information and memos that have come through to my location have confirmed its IN STORES on June 27. This may be for MAC stores only and it's at partnered locations the 4th, but its been fairly clear to us that its June 27. HTH

Thank you for sharing! The pink part of Sweet Samba is stunning....it really is! But the brown part is way too dark for me and so is the result of mixing both. Even though the pink part is bigger here, the mixture is still too bown for my liking. It would look "dirty" on me! Skipping both....Sweet Samba and Carribean!
I agree. I think SS looks very muddy swirled together. Is that (muddiness) a problem generally with the mineralized blushes and eyeshadows? I've never even swatched anything except the natural MFN and Soft n gentle, and Soft was too glittery for me.

Looks like just the 159 brush for me. Maybe Midnight Mambo if I'm feeling impulsive at checkout.

I want to love the MSFs, but the color schemes just seem super similar to others. I have and love Light Year and Adored looks like a close cousin to it. Ah well, money saved!

I think I may be the only one excited about this collection, because the colors have caught my eye. I've skipped Baking Beauties, Temperature Rising, Nudes & Metallics and AAO. I'm leaning toward Sweet Samba, Exotic Ember, Rio, Orpheus and the 159. Maybe Midnight Mambo, but will have to depend on swatches.
