Passwords might be okay but what about hackers and the chances of it being shared somehow? I think I like the idea of invitations. Maybe deans and the people that have been here long enough can decide which newbies can come into certain forums.

THANK you a lot!! I post pics because I find it very useful to see photos of others when choosing products! I also get ideas! The girls at the MAC stand near me (well not so near but the nearest) are super nice! They suggest products which look good on me and show me how to do new looks. This one they taught me last time!

I totally agree on the privacy issues and/or stealing images. It's annoying, frustrating, and irritating, and the main reason why I do not provide early swatch pics anymore.

However, I don't think a private section will help much, presuming that anybody who registers on Specktra will probably have access to this "private section" (either immediately after registration, after a waiting period of X day, or after a certain number of posts).

You're correct Mac-Guy! Perhaps there should be an 'inherent' disincentive to this behavior. Perhaps registration should include a privacy
'clause' requiring all members/registrants to agree that site photos will not be stolen/lifted/borrowed/redirected or shared for any purpose whatsoever.
Violation of this agreement should be subject to some punitive action.

A question---does Specktra automatically 'own' any photos that are posted here, and might Specktra share these photos for marketing purposes to
direct traffic to this site?

I think that would be a good concept and maybe we could vote for it or something? That way nobody can start accusing people of ganging up or something, because people voted for that idea.

I don't think this would really help, because I don't see how we could ever find out who stole pics if they still get stolen.

I thought Sushi Kiss wouldn't work for me but it did and so did Sweet n Sour. I thought I'm too dark right now to wear it that it would wash me out.
My only gripe with Sushi Kiss is it fades too fast for a satin (at least on my lips). All in all I'm digging this collection.

what did you do to make them work. I am moving and I haven't tried them yet.

I don't think this would really help, because I don't see how we could ever find out who stole pics if they still get stolen.

The sentinel effect, in and of itself might be a deterrent for some photo thieves. It's like speeding--
you don't do it when you know a state trooper is nearby or frequents a certain area of the thruway.
If you know someone is watching you consider your behavior.

The problem is that you don't need to be registered on Specktra to view (and steal!) images.
