Oh my gosh, know what else I hoard.........underwear! No lie. There's this certain kind I will only wear & they're always out of my size, so if I see them......snatch, gone, nada
sneaky.gif
nobody else is getting even one pair the rest of the day
I hoard socks. I seem to go through them like they're going out of style. Holes, one of them goes missing so the pair is incomplete etc. I can't really buy any kind of clothing without buying socks. The best bit? I live in flip flops year round -- even in winter, so I don't know why I hoard them.

I would be interested to know how many LE items Mac makes and whether it works out for them better than other companies. For example, UD puts out some highly sought after palettes but there are always plenty to go around. They do sell out but they sell out a month or two after release. Does Mac sell more by their horrid practices? Does UD sell the same amount or more and keep customer good will because they're not constantly frustrating their customers?

Hahaha I am the same way with sports bras, there's only a certain type I like and they are always out of my size so when I see them I'm grabbing every color

I think the whole point was to give people who don't have time to stalk, a chance at at least buying one item, cause I know I'm always busy, I have a very busy life and I don't have time for waiting at night or day, I tend to miss out on a lot of collection for that, but I was looking forward to this for awhile and was afraid that I wouldn't get anything because they may be sold out, but with the 1 per person rule I atleast got what I wanted!
It didn't turn out to be 1 item per person at all. What actually happened resembled an episode of the Twilight Zone, except there was no lesson to be learned. I fee like I did after watching Mulholland Drive, wondering where the hell all my time went and wanting to hug a puppy.

See and I feel like this backfired like it took 3 hours to order products and in the middle of the day. They should do like 10pm at night and get better servers

I really want their dewy skin base and it makes me nervous because I'm so olive tone... I probably will end up ordering online and hoping for the best. Nars and MUFE are my perfect shade buddies. They have some olive shades for me

I love their Skin Base Foundation. I was set on Nars Sheer Glow until I went in and got matched. I never realized how yellow MAC's NC colors were, or that I'm slightly olive-toned. 12 is the perfect match. Don't wanna highjack this thread but I had to sing their praises lol.

Off topic but has anyone tried the UD setting sprays or the NARS light reflecting setting powder? Since the weather has warmed up here my t zone has been on the oily side /:

I think specktra is full of hoarders lol! All kinds of hoarders. I hoard shoes, clothes, makeup, skincare, alcohol (oops) lol! Pretty much everything... So people should just expect us to buy multiples of everything :)

my lipsticks and barbados girl shipped. HK is pending. I JUST WANT IT TO BE OVER.

for those brand jumpers..I used to use mac e/s in highschool but I completely switched over to UD. they have great palettes. I like stila and I want to try Inglot but I think I need a breather bc I still have entire palettes untouched woops.

also RRB is looking a lot like OCC Hoochie? which I have 2 of. I need to return one and get Nars Heat Wave bc it is over 90 today.

my cousin says i'm OCD about USING my stuff, but i just like to take care of it and keep it neat! haha
I'm just the same as you! I like keeping the shape of my lipstick. When I use eyeshadows, I always dab around the same area so the other half still looks new. Whenever my aunts ask me, I feel weary about sharing with them, but I have no problem letting my mother use it though since my dad does not really let her buy any makeup of any kind. My dad said no to me for makeup, but I keep spending away because it's not like I'm using his/my parents money anyway :p

I can't handle the taste of coffee. It's too strong and bitter for me. I like fraps because they're sweeter, even though I'm already sweet enough.
haha same here i like sweeter coffee i tend to be one of those people that takes coffee with my cream instead of cream with coffee haha

I am at work so I will try and catch up on reading this thread later at home. I wanted to share the response I got from MAC "Customer Service" (and I use that term lightly) as well as my response. Beth: I did absolutely nothing illegal/wrong/immoral purchasing your items off of your website and I am insulted by your response. I know you have an extensive IT department with both your company and your parent company Estee Lauder. If these products were not meant for sale then they should not have been accesible to the public. You have done this in the past so I am not sure why this is an issue for you now. ' I have been a loyal customer of MAC and Lauder to the tune of several thousand dollars a year for many years and I am appalled at the way you are treating your most loyal and die hard customers. I will be sending this correspondence as well as the postings from other customers from your Facebook page (as well as the statements of others I know who have had orders cancelled) to the WA Attorney General as I do believe there are laws on the books regarding circumstances like this. In most states if your product is for sale and someone purchases it you MUST honor that even if there is a mistake on price, availablity etc. I look forward to your response. April L Gray, CMA

From: MAC Online Service Sent: Wednesday, June 19, 2013 12:19 PM Subject: Re: Important Notice about your recent MAC Cosmetics Online Order Hello: Thank you for allowing us to explain that the product was not available to the public on the site at the time your order was placed as it was prior to the official launch time. Individuals, using technological means to circumvent our site, were able to gain access to the collection prior to the time of launch. The instructions on how to ?find? the collection, were then posted online. Because we consider this an unfair advantage over the many customers who were awaiting the official published launch time, we made the decision to cancel orders placed prior to the actual launch time. Thank you for your understanding. If you wish to purchase from the remaining items in the collection, please visit us at www.maccosmetics.com. Regards, Beth Customer Service MAC Cosmetics Online

I called MAC CS and they are escalating my cancelled order, because the guy told me they system should not have penalized me for the number of items bought with the cancelled orders from pre-launch. Not counting on getting my order through though. If I get my lustre drops I get them, if not then oh well.
D: I hope they solve this whole thing for you! You definitely should not have been penalized for that.

Same here, one of every color!
