I did this too, and then removed what I didn't want from my cart at checkout. It seemed to get me there more quickly. I was afraid to alter anything because the system was very erratic-------so I kept it all.

I thought of taking the lipsticks out, but once i got to the checkout screen i was afraid of being sent back into timeout limbo.

The shopping bag screen displayed the text all mixed up. It said there was nothing in my bag, that i had qualified for free shipping, and it showed the stuff that actually was in my bag.

And i kept having trouble signing in. So i didn't want to end up with nothing.

For real! I took my Mom on a field trip to Sephora during a VIB sale, her first time in the store, and she couldn't stop commenting on the $100 face creams and how the store was ridiculously over-priced based on that. Her cosmetics consist of drugstore items that fit in a small ziploc bag. Um yeah, I couldn't even fit my essentials in a big ziploc freezer bag. 

My mother is the same way! She's always yelling at me about my makeup and how it's going to go bad.

Called Cs again just now to ask why 2 debit authorizations were being held for 2 orders that one was cancelled and the other is back ordered. It was like a mechanical response, she tells me that since I cancelled the first order, (did not) it takes up to a week to depending on your bank to get it back and the back order also takes a week to get back to your account even though they have no idea when it will be coming. Love that automatic response, it sounded like she was reading it from a script.

Also got the same response for nudes and metallics on Saturday the 22.

I'll my my first post a confession...lol
So Im one one of those 894 evil lurkers who peeped the secret code to buy riri stuff before 12p... and got my stuff cancelled too.Ha..
ordered it on my phone(took 45 mins or so) after waiting 5 hours on my computer(still takes 2 hours to order from my computer.smh)
but i emailed them this:

"Yesterday my order(2******0) was cancelled, i have yet to receive an email notification for that, because of that, im inquiring if i will receive an email when my current order ships? or might it also be cancelled?"

alot of words to say,' Are you cancelling my Shhhh??'.lol

they said:
Thank you for taking the time to email us at MAC Cosmetics Online.

"Thank you for allowing us to explain that the product was not available to the public on the site at the time your order was placed. Individuals, using technological means to circumvent our site, were able to gain access to the collection prior to the time of launch. The instructions on how to "find" the collection were then posted online. Because we consider this to be an unfair advantage over the many customers who were awaiting the official published launch time, we made the decision to cancel orders placed prior to the actual launch time.

However, we wish to take the opportunity to confirm that the order 2######1 you placed after the official launch is processing. You can expect to receive further email communications with the status of this order as it fully processes. Thank you for your understanding in this matter."

OMG!!! That is horrible. I sat at home all day yesterday waiting for several non-MAC packages. I did not leave until 7:40 PM but I did leave a note on the door to leave my pkgs at the back door. Pkgs were there when I got back about an hour later. I don't understand - I am not at the end of the route so there was no way that he was done for the day!
It sounds like your driver was looking for an excuse to not do the delivery.

My regular UPS driver has been moved to a different route. He told me last week and I swear my heart jumped (NO!!! A new collection is coming out!).

WOW! I thought that my mom was the only one like that - $100 for a face cream?? But I did talk her into purchasing one and she loved it! She already purchased some department store brands that were tried and true but I could never get to venture out of her 'comfort zone' as far as color was concerned.

There's a certain panic that sets in when you realize a few months down the road that you "should have" gotten a spare, whether the product is getting used very quickly, or if you've lost, dropped, or had your dog eat it.

Yep, exactly. Was how it was for me as soon as I tried DA from the MM collection. I immediately wished I had at least another one, which was made even worse by the fact it was sold out everywhere.. on top of that was the problem that the UK didn't get the MM re-release, thankfully Erine managed to snag me one. FM is just a given though, if I had the cash I'd buy 10 of those babies. 3 will have to do though.

i'm always amazed when i read that some ladies here have children almost my age.i can't imagine how it could be to have a mom collecting makeup like i do.you're the coolest moms ever

Yup! I remember when the UD Naked Palette originally launched, I happened to be in the US at the time. I hunted that baby down high and low in the area I was in. I called and went to every store within a 50 mile radius and then found them online at Ulta after they'd originally sold out. I bought 2. One for me, one for my Mom. My Moms is STILL sitting in the box, completely unopened and untouched. I bought a Stila eyeliner, some gorgeous blue/teal shade and she was there and loved the colour, bought her one too -- not used.

For the present time I've given up hope. I know a lot of it is her health issues and some other personal issues, but I hope that one day she'll be into it and will share the love of it with me.

Well, i'm not prepared to stake my life on it. Could be Sept. i suppose, although some other "Fall" collections are definitely scheduled to come out in August.

Living so close to Kentucky has it's privileges! I always choose standard shipping since I'm never "thirsty" enough to need overnight shipping and paying for 2-day when standard takes 2 days isn't smart or necessary. I hope everyone else gets good news soon as well. My box arrived right when I got back from my late lunch break so I'm relieved. OAN, did you attend TMS last week because you look real-life familiar (i.e. not just from Specktra)?

Just wanted also to let you know that it looks like the lipsticks are available again in the US MAC site! they are showing up for me but not sure ...

I saw that too. All of the lippies are available on the US site now----guess we shouldn't be surprised because of all of the orders that MAC cancelled.

I'm going backwards through messages here, because i think i'm just not going to make it through over 500, what with all the drama.

I wish there was a sad face i could check besides the thumb's up. I can understand why they cancelled orders placed before the official launch, but, really, it was MAC's own fault. In the end they shouldn't be penalizing people for their own failures. And their actions seem so arbitrary, as to which orders they cancelled.

My sympathies to all who waded patiently through the madhouse and still can't get their stuff.

Internetchick!!! I just read your blog post, I seriously laughed reading the whole thing(more so out of annoyance). SMH No public apology or even a hey we cancelled order due to this.... What a great way to acknowledge your customers. 

Yeah, at this point you just gotta shake your head. I just don't know how they plan to fix it, or if they are just gonna do nothing and hope the heat dies down with time.

Holy Cow...the lady looked at the notes in my account

& said she basically was not allowed to give me any other information about my order other than it was sent on to management. So I'm like the first 2 cs people told me the other day that I was for sure getting the RRB & it was shipping out to me but its staying in limbo & I'm not getting off the phone until you tell me

Puts me on hold & comes back to tell me that a supervisor okd for her to tell me that yes I will be getting it but management will be calling me. I said well I better get the other one with my order because it was NOT bo when I ordered it.

Do I need to get a lawyer to talk with management when they call geesh
