Midnight Mambo and Show Orchid are pretty different, while in the same color family. MM is a nice creamy comfy Mineralize formula. SO is Amplified Creme. And SO has an iridescent sheen. MM is more wearable as it isn't as eye-bending as SO, but if you like them flashy and intense, then SO fills the bill.

And i wouldn't use either of those brushes for contouring, as they both seem too big and fluffy for good control - although i suppose it depends on the shape of your face

Ooooh, I never thought about it like that.. I think it's because lipsticks are all 3g etc, I do love having a Mac pro handy to justify my buys!! Always a new lesson to be learned!

Is 109 or 138 better for coutouring? Or something else? Not sure if you still need an answer for this, but I would get the 116 if I were you. I find 109 not precise enough since it's round, and the 138 is quite large. The 116 is almost flat, so you can use the edge of the brush to contour and the flat sides to apply highlight and to blend out everything.

I completely agree with what cyclops68 said about the 109 and 138. While not a brush i own, the 116 looks like it would give MUCH more control.

Erin you are right! Adored does resemble Readhead, Adored is ever so slightly duochromish on me.

All this talk about brushes reminded me that I have the 163 from the F&B collection and have yet to actually use it. Then again...I've barely used the one contouring Creme I got from that collection....

Not if you are going to use the msf as blush. For a highlighter I use the 188.

These MSFs are different from previous ones. I usually use my 188 with my MSFs either as blush or as highlighter. But i got the 159 because it works better with these new finishes.

My 159 and ablaze just arrived. the 159 is such a cute brush! Very soft! I cant wait to use it.
I'm happy it's smushed on the sides so that it's thin enough to get in those sectioned Extra dimension skin finishes but wide enough to distribute color

So I finally know what I want from this collection and got those things. After going in store and swatching the blushes and skinfinishes for myself, I decided on Adored, Lust, Simmer and Sweet Samba. I knew I'd love Adored, but the other three were a sweet surprise. I also got Narcissus and Fever Isle. I've very happy with my haul
