Les Beiges de Chanel

I've been wearing the powder for some time now and I can say I like it. The powder is very fine and soft-pressed but it doesn't kick up a dust when I swirl my brush over it. There is micro-shimmer that is ultra fine and translate on the skin as a glow. I purchased the last retractable kabuki brush at a counter (the other counter was out of stock) but I haven't use it.

Cafemakeup has a review of the powder and she mentions the "microsparkle".

Les Beiges in 20 is suitable for pale complexions ( I am NW 20 ), we don't have 10 here but I don't think I would purchase it if it was available, 10 has pink undertones and is very more for porcelain skins ( that is very very pale ). For all others 20 is the perfect shade I think.
10 is good for me (NW10)

Thanks. I just got the kabuki. Honestly, I'm having trouble getting on board with an overall face powder designed to give me a "softly tanned glow" ...I guess because I'm not a bronzer lover, and they just look orange to me on Cafemakeup ...maybe I have to see them in person, but I also don't love the ingredients for my own personal (sensitive skin) reasons. So just the kabuki for me, at least for now.

I can understand what she says about it helping her face to match her arms, etc which have picked up some color over the summer, but my whole body looks like Casper so if my face was softly tanned with this powder I would get the opposite effect.

Would 20 be good for my nc20-25 skin?

I'm NC25-30 and for summer, 30 is great for a healthy glow with some colouring (i.e. it won't match your skin, it will be a bit darker). 20 will still enhance for you, I'd think. It'll depend on how much "enhancing" you'd like. =) Keep in mind that it is fairly sheer and buildable. When I was NC25 I found 30 to be more than I wanted but it may have been because we were still at the tail end of winter and I wasn't used to it.

Thanks for letting us know! I went to order the brush, but then hesitated. I'm not sure why the $70 price shocked me. I'll have to get it later. I have some nail polish purchases that require my full attention this week.

Shade 10 is the only shade that contains mica. Who else received the mini shade 40 in the mail? Tried it out and it makes a great bronzer for my BR12/NC10/NW15 skin.

They're charging $70 for the brush???? It was only £33 ($50) here before it sold out!

Yup, $70. I thought it was going to be around $50 as well. I even checked to make sure I didn't have the website mistakenly set to a different country. I guess Chanel increased the price after seeing the brush's popularity. I'm hoping it won't fly off the shelves at that price point.

I just got an email on it. As it is a pre- order, any idea when it will ship? I haven't really been following this thread. I have no idea what shade I would be.

When you add it to your cart, it says that it ships August 1st. If you use code LesBeiges when you order this, the rest of your order is shipped overnight.

Yeah, I wasn't surprised when it sold out so quickly in the UK. It ended up being the same price as a MAC kabuki!
I picked up two when they were 10% off, and I use it every day!

Just ordered the 20. I am wanting it as more of an all over powder than a bronzer. Fingers crossed it works! Bummed I have to wait another two weeks for it . . .

I caved and ordered No. 30 and the kabuki brush. I'm a 40 beige in Vitalumiere and 60-70 beige in Perfection Lumiere. I know, weird the big color difference between the 2 foundations. Anyway, I'm hoping I bought the right color for me. Fingers crossed!
