I had serious doubts that any of these would be dark enough for me, but I guess so(?). Maybe they'll be in one of the department stores when I go out tomorrow.
I hope I can see them in person tomorrow, but I doubt I will since I can't find them on any site besides Chanel. I'm thinking I can get away with #60. I'm not the darkest shade in Perfection Lumiere, so I don't think I'll be the darkest in this powder. I hope the shade doesn't shift after application like PL, though. Thought I had the perfect one in that only for it to go way dark on me after half an hour. I have a bronzer, so I want to use this powder as a foundation or finishing powder. Fingers crossed. Shontay. I ordered #70, the darkest. If it's too dark to use as an overall face powder, it will be a bronzer for me because I've been wanting to purchase a new one. Can't wait to hear what you think after checking them out in person.
It would be perfect as a finishing powder because of how insanely sheer they are. But then, I only tested them on my hand.I hope I can see them in person tomorrow, but I doubt I will since I can't find them on any site besides Chanel. I'm thinking I can get away with #60. How yellow did #10 & #20 appear when applied? This is my fear that they will be too yellow on my skin.Ok Chanel peeps, I got to test a few of these today at Nordies. I order the #10 on chanel.com which is a VERY pale pink tint kind of vanilla. The #20 is just as pale but with a slight yellow tint. So then the Chanel lady that I've known there for a long time says, lets try the #60 on you for a slight color/bronzer & it was BEAUTIFUL!yep, #60! Its a slight pink/rose tone bronze. I would have never picked out the #60 for myself. Its such a beautiful shade. I will order it too.
The texture is amazingly luxurious silky extremely fine milled. FABULOUS texture which just melted into my own skin. They are EXTREMELY sheer!!!!!!! & forgiving. They did not have the Kabuki brush. Is that an online exclusive?
I also tested the new brush set. It was soft & wonderful too. I may get it later. I had already bought jeans & boots so..................
Wow. I'm thinking I can pass with #50. #60 seems too red/warm(?). I'm more on the neutral side. I really want to test these things. This picture is from cafemakeup.com sorry if already posted... not sure I need #70 the darkest, especially if these powders oxidize.
Same that I was thinking. I'm darker than you but #60 looks too red and I have yellow/golden undertones.Wow. I'm thinking I can pass with #50. #60 seems too red/warm(?). I'm more on the neutral side. I really want to test these things.
No, it will not be too yellow. The shades are SOOOO subtle & sheer. Its just a HINT of the pink or yellow. They almost looked the same on my skin with just the slightest tone difference. But I could tell. The 10 is subtle pink, the 20 is subtle yellow. Hope that help my dear. How yellow did #10 & #20 appear when applied? This is my fear that they will be too yellow on my skin.
The 60 in that picture is not a good representation of how it looks in person. It doesn't look like that. Its very prettyWow. I'm thinking I can pass with #50. #60 seems too red/warm(?). I'm more on the neutral side. I really want to test these things.
So I should probably get 20 if I want to use it as a all over powder? No, it will not be too yellow. The shades are SOOOO subtle & sheer. Its just a HINT of the pink or yellow. Yes, if slight yellow tones work better for you. Actually, I wouldn't mind the 20 either to correct redness. Its just the most sheer hint of yellow undertoneSo I should probably get 20 if I want to use it as a all over powder?
Oh yay, I am so glad to hear that you loved them! I think that the 20 I ordered will work great for me. And hopefully the slight yellow tint cancels my redness.
