thanks guys! i wasnt too fond of this loose powder while i was playing around with it today... so i think on monday ill go in to return and i'll have to order online because nordies dont have these right? So since I usually go by what shontay gets im going to shoot for #40 lol
oh and this might be off topic but do you think soleil tan de chanel base will show up on my skin tone (i want to use it literally as a bronzing base not really as a finishing bronzer) DO YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENS AFTER ORDERING MY FIRST CHANEL PRODUCT (affinite blush)??!! i knew this would happen!! lol

Thanks Luvlydee! In that photo I'm wearing #70, which looks good on camera but IRL it's pretty dark----me with a tan, minus the harmful rays of the sun. I don't mind being darker---what I would have looked like had I remained in Ethiopia. I do plan to get a lighter shade because 70 will look ridiculous in fall & winter. I have tried it as a bronzer and it's pretty awesome, but the formula is so amazing that I really want it as a setting powder. In terms of usage, it seems the sky is the limit with this product---and that's pretty cool.

I went to the mall this morning and in an effort to avoid Neiman's, I went to Bloomingdales which is much closer. They had it! I bought #30. The swatch seemed yellow enough. I think it'll be good for the center, if not all of my face. I'm keeping #30 and #40. I'll get around to trying #30 tonight or tomorrow just to see if I prefer it over #40. I'm kinda bummed because I got a bit of a tan. Damn that sun. :getyou: By the way, Saks didn't even have the display anymore. I'm guessing someone flipped out on them for having the display, but not the product. I've seen plenty of Saks customers act a fool.

By the way, Saks didn't even have the display anymore. I'm guessing someone flipped out on them for having the display, but not the product. I've seen plenty of Saks customers act a fool.

Yea i went to blooomies today and the lady tried 40 on me. Now that im in the car i think it might be a tad dark. Idk. She applied it with a duo fiber brush so idk how it would even look dark. Maybe im bugging. When my 40 comes imma check it out alone and over foundation. If its too dark ill return it and order 30. On another note it was my sisters first time at the chanel counter and she left with 3 illusion d'ombre lmao. She was like omg these are beautiful. I want to now try their double wear powder foundation.

Ok thanks thats awesome. When i google 30 it seems like people are saying it has a red undertone which i dont want so 40 should be good.

Thanks Ingenue! Now this all makes sense. I think I need #30 too. I remember seeing the display and thinking everything over 40 was darker but not the right tone. I feared none of these would work for me. I think I will get one now.

it has shea butter, that must be one of the reasons it makes the face feel so soft - I really noticed a difference when I did not wear LesB! a lot of the shades worked on me but I have both pink + yellow tones - the only one that did not work was 50 - I wonder if 50 would be good for really olive skin perhaps?

When I tried 40 the first time I was paranoid about it making me darker, but that's really not the case. I wore it again today and it looks great. I checked myself in pictures, different lighting in my house and a couple of stores I went to in the mall. It is a good match on my skin.

I think it may depend on the warehouse that ships it. I've had Chanel packages take a week but the last one came really fast. Maybe 2 days or so. I think it came from Long Island or Queens.
