I'm OK being basically a one brand gal. Once and a while, I'll get something I think is really above and beyond special from other brands, but MAC does so many things right, at the right price, that I'm satisfied - heck, I spend enough as is it that way, anyhow :p
I've bought a fair few NARS blushes recently and I'm very happy with them, but I agree with you. I don't have the money to buy the really high-end brands, and, to be honest, I'd rather get a couple of really good quality things from, MAC. Plus, the range of colours always blows me away.

I wish we had the brand variety here like in the US or UK. To be honest, I much rather would've spent most of the money that I spent on MAC over the last years on other brands. Hourglass and Tom Ford are on top of that list, others would be Burberry, D&G, MUFE, to name a few. I really wish we had easier access to those kind of brands or any access at all. It's something that I still don't understand, I thought Germany was the biggest cosmetic market in Europe, but there are so many brands we can't get our hands on.

I looked at all of this in the MAC book today. The browns are beautiful! I am getting 3 - yes three of the brush set with the duo fiber brushes & 1 of the smokey eye brush set.
You were a fan of the Naturally MBs right? I bet there will be at least one blush here you are going to love.

Me too. I'm almost out of Orpheus from last holiday and I plan to bu all the kohl pencils b/c they've a awesome. Stares & Speculation f/l looks pretty in the promoting pix. I may haul all the creme sheen gloss. Also private party lipstick for sure. Maybe the taupe and I'm sure liba or somebody will ruthlessly enable the peachy nude so I have to get it.
Raven is really super for green, hazel, blue and even warm brown eyes - they need to make that one perm like Feline.

Ugh I really want the Black and Gold pigment/glitter set now. Not a fan of how copper sparkle looks but the other 4 are awesome! *adds to the -already too long- list*

Josephine, you look fab in your new avatar!
Thanks! I was bored so i just played around with my avatar
They don't smudge on me but towards the end of the day I notice fading. My lids are *quite* oily and I notice slight smearing too. Setting with powder could prevent that.
I might have to give it a try then! I was planning to try nars via veneto but mac is cheaper :)

I'm a lot more careful when lining the waterline to keep to the outer part of the rim. Also when lining above or below the lash line, being careful to not get any directly on the lashes really helps prevent smudging. Keep them well sharpened to have extra control and they'll be fine. Thanks for the tips liba! I will try to be more careful when lining my eyes :) Aww, thanks! The ever-growing makeup collection lol

I haven't bought from MAC in a while but I loooooove this packaging and need some new nude lippies in my life. I love the look of Private Party LG but I know I would never wear it. I might get an MSF but I have to swatch to decide. Is anyone going to any events at Nordstrom @ Garden State Plaza?

I got to see and play with some of this yesterday. I couldn't take pics. I really like this collection.

The MES remind me of the glitter zipper ones years ago UNTIL you play with them. The textures are totally different. These are very finely milled. The fluidlines all remind me of past offerings. Nothing new.

I didn't get to see all the sets but the ones I did see were beautiful. (They didn't have the glitter/pigments or the lip balm sets yet.)
The Nordies bag is gorgeous. Gorgeous pink blush, lipstick and gloss. They eye palettes remind me of last years except the Smokey eye one which is gorgeous and coming home with me. The eye bags are a great value if you don't already have the products.

The VG offering is beautiful! I urge all of you to pick one up.

My tentative list for the color story (still haven't finished my set list yet) is:

You've Got It- Pink Undertone with Gold Frost (Frost)

Cremesheen Glass

You've Got It- Nude taupe with green pearlized pigments

Mineralize Eye Shadow

Gilded Night- Bright gold with silver pearlized base/ Black with pearlized pigments
Past Midnight- Blackish purple with violet pearlized base/ White pink frost

Kohl Power Eye Pencil

Orpheus- Intense black with gold pearlized pigments
Raven- Intense black with red pearlized pigments

Mineralize Blush

Lavish Living- Violet with silver pearlized base with gold pearlized pigments

Mineralize Skinfinish

Scene to be Seen- Mauve with pink sheen/ Brick rose with gold reflects
Centre of Attention- Pastel peachy pink with fine pink shimmer/ 24 carat gold shimmer

How did scene to be seen look ? Was its mauve pink with gold? And how was centre of attention ? Was it pigmented?

Scene to Be Seen was my favorite of the three. Definitely a mauve lover's dream. I didn't see an perceptible gold in it. Centre of Attention reminds me a bit of Light Flush. The gold square in that one is gorgeous. It is going to be an awesome holiday highlight.
