Sephora Friends & Family 2013

Hi, I’m new here. The VIB sale is coming and I really need all you help. I’m Mexican and I have and USA address so must of my makeup and skincare shopping is done online. I go for my stuff two or three times a year. So all my sephora shopping is done once a year during the F&F and VIB sale with all my Christmas gift, videogame and pet stuff. And in the middle of the year I go for things I shop from Asia or UK and send to the USA address (Because it can get loss if send to my actual address) and some general stuff (and more pet stuff!!!).
This year I have a big item in my card and having doubts about it.

Is a GHD flat iron (the 185 dlls one) I have want one of this for at least 5 years but now I wonder if it’s worth the price tag. Anyone here have it? Is these sale my best time to get it or should I shop somewhere else? (I have never see a 20% of in GHD but maybe I haven’t look enough). I’m already VIB for the next year so I don’t need the purchase to keep my status. If it is cheaper somewhere else I would love to know. Also if someone things there is a better iron to get.

I haven't tried tons of flat irons so I can't give you a definitive answer about it being the best flat iron. I honestly just don't know and I don't even use it on my hair every week. GHD has a reputation of being a top tool though. Folica.com often has sales of at least 25% off. Register with them so you can pick up a GHD at a bigger discount. I got mine for either 25% or 30% off.

Has anyone used the Marc Jacobs Face II Brush? Is it really a good contouring/sculpting brush or just meh? I know it's a foundation brush but I would only be buying it for the contouring so I'm kind of having qualms about it.

Yes my dear.  I own both UD palettes, the Lorac Unzipped Palette and the Lorac Sweet Temptations Sets and I have to say the LM is probably my favorite.  Actually, the quality reminds me of the Lorac's ST xmas sets from last year.    If you ladies missed out on this set, SMH.....a must have....

I have the LM artist's palette and it is wonderful! I hate to say it but I may like it better than my UD Naked palettes. If you have not gotten the LM palette yet, I suggest you do because it might sell out!

I want the Lorac Pro Palette, but it has been sold out online for what feels like a long time!

Maybe I explained it wrong. But for me I qualified for Rouge and will remain Rouge for all of 2014. It will NOT start over in January, it will continue on for the entire year. I just called Sephora customer service to confirm to make sure I was not giving out wrong information.

Earlier in the forum, they were talking about people who have not reached vib rouge by the end of December. Their points will not roll over and they will restart in January from $0 trying to reach $1000. I think their was some confusion on your end when you were reading those posts. Anybody who reached vib rouge this year will be rouge until the end of 2014! Hope that clears it up.

I have Naked 2 and Lorac Pro. I had my friend take a picture of her Pro next to the LM palette. I decided to get the LM palette because I have green eyes and love pink and purple eyeshadows. Laura Mercier Artist palette Holiday 2013 on the left, Lorac Pro on the right. (credit to @VeronikaJ)

UGH! I have the pro palette and was like do I NEED the artist palette? I may pass because honestly I am not a huge fan of purples on me for some reason. Now if that was a palette of a mix of greens I'd be all over it! Love the greens and teals.
