3 questions: #1) Do you also use cream highlighters a lot? Then go for the 128. #2) Do you wish your MSFs were MORE intense or more buffed in and less glittery? More intense, go for 128, more buffed, go for 159. #3) Do you usually swirl your highlight in along the cheekbone or would you rather do a pat-then-sweep? Swirl, go for 188, sweep, go for 159.  Also 188 if you're also looking for a blush brush too and don't mind if your highlight is less intense. If you want intensity, you'll have more work using the 188 and less work using the 128 or 159.
Im sold going get a 128 this weekend

Please
So do you find sweet heat nice to wear during the day without looking overly done up? I was contemplating getting this one.
Please get Sweet Heat!!! I was devistated when I missed out the first time it came out. I was able to track down all the other ED eyeshadows I want but not Sweet Heat! I finally have my life back now that I have it in my collection. I actually have it on today over the lid and a little SD in the outer corner. It's a nice light look for work but it definitely can be built up for after work makeup. For reference I'm NW45. Again please buy SH while you can. Don't live life w/o it like I once did!

I am in LOVE with sweet heat! Some folks on this thread convinced me to get it earlier and I'm so happy I did! I've worn it every day since. Maybe need a backup. ;-)

I'm still contemplating getting Silver Dawn! I didn't swatch it in store on purpose and now I'm still thinking about it! Also -what are people using to apply the eyeshadows?! I sprayed a brush with fix+ before using Sweet Heat and IMMEDIATELY regretted it- i made a dent in the shadow and didn't pick anything up. (silly- don't know what made me do this!) Immediately after, I used my finger and was able to get so much color onto my lid!
Okay, I think I've figured out how to apply these extra dimension eyeshadows on me now. I went back to the April 2013 thread to get advice. It really does help to have no oil on my lid. Then, I added a primer (UD primer potion, but a paint pot would probably be good too). I found this advice from Liba from the Extra Dimension thread really useful:

Quote: Zestful in particular is on the sheer side. It really does need a paint pot underneath if you want it to be a stronger, more opaque color. One thing about the EDES I've found is they do indeed go on rather patchy if you have too much on your brush. It's kind of counter-intuitive. You need to use a thin layer, spreading it on with a window wiper motion. Let it set up for a minute then apply another layer on top if you want more density. That's the best way to avoid patchiness for me, with or without a base underneath.
So after I applied my primer, I used a standard small paddle shaped brush (someone mentioned the MAC 239 brush, which should be fine, but I used another company's version with the same shape). Then I picked up only a tiny tiny bit on the brush. I then applied the product in very light, feathery layers, working in the product into the lid with a back-and-forth wiper motion like Liba described. This seemed to crush the pigment into a very very fine layer of color that is easily built up. Sweet Heat and SD were really pretty together this way--they had a really pretty sheen and lovely texture this way.

So, thank you once again Liba (and the rest of the ED thread!)

@ Liba Thanks!! I think I'm going to check out the 159

Right now for blush I just use 129 Brush. I totally agree what you said about the right brush making all the difference on your face. Mac brushes are expensive but I think it is totally worth it to get a flawless application

Totally agree with you and Liba. It takes time to find the right brush for application because everyone is different. I also started out buying some of the less expensive brushes and definitely noticed a difference in quality. MAC brushes aren't the be all to end all of brushes, but they are a good investment... especially since we're purchasing all of this makeup, we need to be applying it so that it looks great ON, you know?

I just get one at a time and build up slowly.

Yeah it's way up there for me for subtle blushes for a particular reason. I've got sort of peach fuzzy cheeks, so a lot of pale standard powder blushes can get powdery on me and accentuate the fuzz. At Dusk doesn't do this AT ALL, which I adore. It's so natural, including the lovely skin-like sheen to the finish. I think you'll love it!  I never use my 128 for blush, but I do sometimes grab the 159 for blush, but I wouldn't say it's the best blush brush, because it's not a good shape to do circular motions on the apples of the cheeks. It's ok if you mostly just sweep back in a line or have really tiny cheek apples and just pat a dab on them. If you want a single brush to work for highlight AND blush, you're probably better off with the 116 or maybe 129 - they're small enough to do precise placement, they're flexible so you can use lots of different motions (sweeps, swirls, pats) and they will pick up plenty of product…they're classic brush workhorses.
Woo girl I'm right there with you on the peach fuzz! Mine is mostly in that patch of skin between earlobe and jaw though. Ahh okay I must have miss read what was posted. Think I'll go with the 129 as I already have a few smaller brushes I've been using for both blush and highlight. Thanks again, Liba!
