I would have actually bought the whole collection if they had just rereleased the Maleficient part from VV. Now, I will maaaaybe get two things.

same for me, howevet if that lipstick is a matte I'll be purchasing for my sister.I decided to skip this since Alluring Aquatic is going to be an expensive haul for me.

I think from the collection I want the red lipstick, and the beauty powder as well. I have to many reds to count, but I love them, and I'm very curious if the powder would show up on me.

I think I'm going to be skipping this collection and saving up for Aquatic. So disappointed in the packaging and colorstory. I'm tempted to grab up the lipstick but I know it will probably be similar to something I already have. Hope we see some swatches before the online release date.

Probably was. Strengthening their brand but ruining the potential of a SUPER crazy hyped collection. I think they could have made it work having Maleficent across the packaging, but those damn Batman wings totally ruin it........Off to my corner to dream up better packaging.

I thought it would possibly grow on me. I don't mind the wings, though it reminds me of my hot topic days I just see it as angel of darkness type of packaging lol But every time I look at it, it's like looking at the movie trailer with the name all huge blasted on everything ugh Thank goodness it's mostly permanent items

That's exactly what the stupid dark angel winged packaging reminds me off too. Hot Topic days! I can just picture them displayed by the skull nail polishes and lipsticks and a 16 year old me thinking they were cool.
now, not so much.
The packaging is a big lame!

I think what bothers me about the wings is without having seen the movie and the collection being released before the movie, the wings are meaningless in telling a branding story. It just bothers me. They would have created a lot more hype, sold more permanent items/items similar to permanent items at higher prices and done a better push for Disney movie ticket sales with a stronger representation of the evil and magic that this story has to offer.
I am upset because I genuinely feel like the creative team at MAC pushed this to the absolute last second and had a OH crap moment and we ended up here. I'm sure this is something Disney approved as well and I blame their team for letting this slip by as well when they have done such a good job otherwise creating hype and mystery with this film.
AND to top it all off this was going to be released the day after birthday so it was like a mini birthday surprised and they ruined it!!!!!!

This movie is going to be way different than the original. It's like what they did to willy wonka. It's the back story. From what I've seen she has wings in the movie and has then up until whatever happens before the baby is born. She doesn't look like she turns into a dragon either. It looks like it's magic and from the grown
I hope she turns into one! I could picture the meeting 3 ideas Angelina's face (which probably cost too much) The dragon and then the wings Disney wanting it strictly new movie related Ugh They did this with VV disney so pushed for the princess and the from villain. So dumb. People weren't highly impressed with that collection at the time either but then they made it even worse! Thank goodness for AA
