MAC Alluring Aquatic Collection (May 22, 2014)

Got my order and i must say im not really impressed. Delphic was a lot redder than i thought it would be when i put it on my face. Goddess of the sea... Bleh. Not my type. Refined golden was fine but i just reslly wanted that packaging. Probably going to swap out goddess of the sea lipstick and put in a different lipstick in that beautiful packaging. And im selling delphic to my friend who missed out lol

Oh no! Sorry you weren't impressed. I didn't know you could switch lipsticks out like that. I also bought refined golden for the packaging. Did you get any eyeshadows? The one I've tried so far (legendary lure) is pretty great.

Take a look at the Hakuhodo Itabake brush...pricey, but it's so much better than the Nars Ita brush!

I agree about the itabake. The hakuhodo j5521 (g5521 is too, more subtle) and g503 is also great for contouring.

Wearing Pet Me Please.  I'm really enjoying it.  I also used just a little bit of Stone lip pencil very lightly blended on the edge to give it some dimension.   I also did a little tutorial on this look for anyone interested. (link is in my signature)

EO is definitely my favorite lippie from this collection...the others I ordered I could've lived without..although I can't speak about Siren Song just yet since I just ordered those yesterday from Macy's!
I'm loving PMP it feels like it can be used on top of a lot of different lippies for a complete new look!

Try going a few days or so without using them (however long it takes for your irritation to clear up) and then try them again. If the same results happen then yeah...you probably shouldn't use them.

I think some people are just catching up on sleep! When I was traveling recently I didn't buy any makeup I could buy in the states because the euro is killing the dollar but I did get a few things exclusive to the area I was in.  Yes where you live in the world is often contingent on what you want from the place you are living. USA does need to working on the health care system in regards to it's affordability. Gas is a dream here and if you live in Metro area with a public transportation that is usually the way to go. Where I live is expensive but I do like for the versatility. Amy Leigh, really, I never have trouble with Nordstrom's during a launch they are my go behind MAC, Macy's usually takes longer to ship but it comes . sorry you missed Bloomies, I get my stuff very quickly because of my location but try calling Nordstrom and if that doesn't work try to call your local Mac store.  Nordstrom is likely to restock certian items but it will be a waiting game just like MAC!

Yeah I never had any trouble till playland and now this collection and both times I've ordered as soon as they placed them online (and not on a restock) and then I think I have my item so I miss all the other launches - there's one more online launch I'm waiting for - it I miss that one I guess I'll check the store on Thursday - but my mac never seems to have but a few lipsticks (for the last riri collection they had 3 BGrR and 4 PB) these mac collections are getting crazy . I feel like saying screw it but my inner addict just won't let me lol

Thanks for mentioning this! The Ita was on top of my list, but now I'm not so sure anymore. Is the Hakuhodo one softer?

That's the one I used with the Nars Contour Duo, it's alright but I would like something more precise.

Sorry this happened to you, AmyLeigh. This happened to me with Nordies and Bloomies online. I don't trust them with MAC LE launches anymore. I hope you get your lippie somehow.

They did this to me with playland and now alluring aquatics - I think I'll stick with macys from now on - I've never had them cancel an item

Whoosh! This thread is a riot of fun! Lolllll.... I'm happy to see that mostly everyone is content with what they bought. I still haven't gotten anything yet. Will go in store on Thursday. This packaging is so fabulous. Can't wait to compare the shadow quality to my other ed shadows. Will post pics when I buy my stuff. For some reason this year life has been extra extra busy in a great way. Not complaining at all... Lol. With Mystical does it dry down slightly or remains creamy?

Yes! It is the BEST contour brush I own...and I own a lot!

There are four sizes - Small, Medium, Large, X-Large...the Medium is PERFECT for me!

This is GORGEOUS on you Mandy!

My first ever Mac lipstick was a lot like PMP. I bought it in the early 90's and I cannot remember the name---but I wore it with stone liner!!!!!! Awesome call! I think I might have to grab this baby for a blast from the past!
