I really need to start using my glosses (not just MAC). I still have ones from Pedro that haven't been loved enough.   But I concur, Nyx's butter glosses are amazeballs and I can't wait to try the intense versions.
That's right, I forgot I had gotten the lipglasses from Pedro. Those were my latest lipglass purchases.
Thanks for posting! I find it funny how T says Tenor Voice and Opera are dupes. Good job MAC releasing two similar colors in one collection.:haha: I'll skip both. I have Ruby, Ruby Woo, and RiRi Woo.  Barbeque, Oxblood, Victoriana, and Sin (I don't own) for me.
That makes all sorts of no sense whatsoever. Good job indeed MAC for breaking a record and having lipsticks released within the same COLLECTION being dupes for each other. Sheesh!! :eek:hboy:

Shopping MAC lippies has become a game called ''What don't I have already?" lmao. Barbecue is the only possible purchase now. Maybe. I'm watching a tube of SJ on ebay right now. I love this collection's packaging but damn man how many simlilar shades can a company put out? I hope Karen's reviews sway me. Bloop.
I have the Nars satin lip pencil that T said is a dupe for Oxblood (Torres Del Paine) but I've never worn it. I'll swatch it tonight to see if I really need it lol.

Even with T's interrogation lighting I can see Opera is clearly darker than TV, gorgeous Classic red More than excited now to get Oxblood. I will probably transfer it into a classic black MAC bullet though :)

Amen, and amen! Having dupes within the same collection goes beyond borderline ridiculous. *smh*

My De-nude lipglass from Artificially Wild doesn't have the usual MAC scent. It smells so floral, almost like old, granny perfume. I tried it once a while back but couldn't wear it very long because the smell was nauseating. Is that what you'd mean by 'rancid'? If yes, then I'm throwing it away. I just took the smell to mean that this was a one-off problem.  Hmm, this is all very interesting. Do you think maybe some lipglasses turn rancid faster than others because of something they use on certain colors and not others? I purchased lipglass from Sharon Osbourne collection, The Simpsons, and some from Playland but they've all been fine. The only dud that I got was De-nude from Artificially Wild and that scent was headache-inducing. Still, didn't keep me from throwing it away though because I just assumed that they used a different scent but that the general 'formula' was ok to use?
When it's rancid it'll smell like melted crayons or melted plastic.
last year I bought a couple of pastel colored lipglasses (from Playland and Novel Romance) and now they seem to have, like, cracked. There are those ridges in the texture that are filled with clear liquid. When I stir them up with the wand, though, the texture emulgates for a short time again. Don't really know how to explain this in English. I thought it might be caused by certain ingredients in those pastel-ish formulas. I've barely used them, so I'm quite disappointed in Mac lipglasses. I got some older ones like VG Nicky I and those are still all right.
Just mix it up and it's good to go. They tend to separate if they aren't used for awhile.
This may seem like a strange question but what does rancid lipglass smell and look like? Is it sour or something? I'd like to know so I can check mine. I have a lot of MAC lipglasses. Thanks
Melted crayons or melted plastic.
The one I have that went bad smells like old nasty crayon, it's a very strong smell.
That's the smell!
I just sniffed all of my lipglasses :D  I have only one that smells full on vanilla. Most of them either have a very faint vanilla scent or just a more neutral scent (a little like plastic or playdough). Some have no scent at all. Is that really such a bad thing? I don't feel like throwing my entire collection away
If they're rancid you don't wanna use em. Trust me!
I wouldn't worry unless you notice the smell is off. I think it's likely because of the ingredients in the pastel formulas, as you said.
It doesn't have anything to do with the colour. It happens to brights, darks, pastels, nudes, any colour.

I'm glad I can skip everything! Victoriana (I think) is pretty, but looks a lot like Glam and if I ever want Sin, I'll just pay regular price for it. Oxblood is a nice color, but would look crazy on me. Like everyone is saying, these lipsticks look like ones MAC has already put out... They need to get more original! But they're also making it easier to save my money for other things.

I will be stalking next week for all the blushes plus two Oxblood lipsticks lol. The rest of the lipsticks, plus the purple eyeshadow palette I will check out/swatch in store.

I think Oxblood is beautiful. It looks lovely on Christine. I would like to see it on a WOC before I decide to buy it first.

T's Swatches and review of the other lipsticks (not including Sin):

I'm leaning towards just Oxblood. I have too many things that are too similar.
Awww man. I was totally going to skip this collection. Then I come here and wham. I see Christine's swatches. I want Oxblood now. I'm trying to restrain myself from buying more lippies since so many other collections are coming out. I wish we had swatches of Kindergarten Red (unless I missed it somewhere) so I'm not just buying one item. Thank you, Shars.

For these colors, they might have simply repromoted Ruby Woo, Lady Danger, and MAC Red. Oxblood looks nice on Temptalia, but it's one of those colors that I have to try out in person to see if it looks good on me or not. Sin is the only lipstick that I'll get because I'm about to finish the one I have in regular packaging. My list is just the blushes and Sin lipstick, but I'm not thrilled with the price increase on blush.

All this talk about lipglasses got me worried, so I went to my lipstick box and smelled all of my lipglasses to see if they were rancid. Only one lipgloss had a very faint vanilla smell, but it wasn't the rancid plastic crayon smell. I did notice that the older lipglosses smelled way better than the newer ones. I won't be buying any lipglass from this collection.
