Same here :) the palette looks very cohesive and I don't have any of the colors so why not! Especially since I don't want anything else. But I'm also thinking about picking up the 217 w this packaging
I wanted a ton, then swatches proved I wanted nothing :haha: Exactly why not pick it up :bigthumb: You reminded me...I want the 217 too

Me too! He coloring is way closer to mine. Think Royal Ball is still on my list. Not too sure I want the BP yet. All I see is shimmer. I really don't need any more gloss but I love the look of these!
I like her swatches more than T's because I'm so fair. Mystery Princess looks so pretty! And Royal Ball looks nice there as well

After seeing everything I am surprised the item I think that looks the best is the eyeshadow palette! I have none of the colors and it's a really cohesive set and they look nicely pigmented, a definite toss in your bag and go with you item. I figured the item I would want would be one of the powders, but Coupe de Chic is pretty similar to Cindy Loumanizer, which I have, and Mystery Princess...not sure how that would work all over. I knew the lipsticks and glosses would be a no go for me and the eye gloss, just, no.

I do prefer Leesha's swatches though, she's much closer to my skin tone.

I'm kinda sad I don't want anything in this collection. I think that Maleficent had more products that I wanted/needed. I agree this is more of a fair skin collection. I think the mascara is the only thing I know I will use everyday so I'm picking it up for the packaging.

I second that.  I want the packaging but I'm concerned about how the colors will show up on WOC
That's exactly how I feel. The colors are not complementary on the skin tones of WOC.
I Don't think this collection is boring. Not every collection has to have bright colors. Sometimes they need to cater lighter skin tone customers who prefer light and soft makeup.  MAC releases gazillion collections a year that have dark and bright lipsticks and things that are not wearable in everyday world for most of the women. So I think it's ok to release something different. Having these kind of colors with Cinderella name on it is very logical. She doesn't really look like she would wear Heroine ? (or something on that page) I surprisingly like this collection. I do not care about Disney nor the special packaging .
I agree. I am not upset. I will save my money for the next collection.

I don't think anyone was suggesting heroine here or anything on the far end of bright. The Sharon Obsbourne end of the collection contained things that would have suited Cinderella and were a lot more interesting in my opinion. Even the Magnetic nude collection was more interesting and would have suited the Cinderella theme as well. I'm all for having collections that cater to different people, but having a LE collection with 2 single lipglosses both of which are virtually clear (when you can get these in the permanent range already) just seems like a let down.
I could not have said it better myself.
I think I get where you both are coming from, that everyone with each of their specific preferences would like to find themselves in a colour story which caught their eye; however, it is really tough to fulfill. Sometimes when for example Temptalia announces the next collection, I can already predict the comments to her site underneath the post. If it is a bright bold collection, people are unhappy that MAC did not put any neutrals or anything "wearable" in it. If it is a more neutral collection, people will bemoan the lack of bright red, violet and pink mattes. If a collection is identifiable as gearing towards specific skin tones (for example, but not exclusively, towards Fair or WOC), the ones whom this collection possibly might not suit that perfectly will say that MAC forgot about them and that there is nothing in for "insert own colouring". And for the next collection it´s rinse and repeat :) As long as there is something nice for me at some time in the year (usually autumn), I don't mind when there are collections with colours that would not suit me. Here in this case I do like the packaging but I don't need anything; I still have Blonde MSF and some older beauty powders regarding the shimmer powder, the lipsticks are too light and since I have UD Basics 1&2 I don't need the palette either. Probably it's because these days I have a more "low buy"-point of view, but I suppose I could do the Cinderella look aswell with the products I own already, Maybe for those who like to create the Cinderella-look out of this collection, there is a chance to do so with other MAC products of which they know that they'll suit them perfectly. :)
Well said.
These swatches sealed my decision. Next collection. Lol.

I'll probably get both lipsticks too. Or at least one. I'm a sucker for lustres :sneaky:
I like Lustres, too! I started out with Lustres when I first wore MAC. I never found them drying. Syrup and Capricious are 2 of my favorite MAC lippies. This beige is too light for me (plus I have You've Got It which is similar), but I'm getting Royal Ball. I think it looks nice on T. At first I didn't like this collection but I can see now what they were going for. Cinderella is a Fairy Tale, after all. What they've chosen reminds me of magic, innocence, romance, etc. the sparkles, the light colors, and the neutrals all fit that idea. I think it would be good for a young girl just starting to wear make up (albeit a pale skinned young girl).

I wonder if the packaging is of the same make and feel of "The Osbourne" collection? It looks so. Very lightweight feeling. Pretty color though.

I used to wear lustres in highschool because I was too shy for anything bolder. Plus Patisserie is one of my all time favorite lipsticks.
I agree about the collection, I'm not disappointed at all so far.

I don't have any of the shadows in the palette..but they've been on my list to pick up. So I'm thinking of picking the 6x palette up for myself.
I am actually thinking about getting this too! The perm e/s in the palette are all ones I've been thinking I should get, real classic MAC staples.

I have to have this collection because it's disney but so far it will all be so light on me so none of it will look good but I really love the pigments so at least something will get used.

Thanks you for posting, [@]shars[/@]. I am disappointed with ES, I need to look at my pigments when I get home. It looks like Black Poodle to me

Yea, this collection could have been HUGE. I feel as though Disney has some sort of outline.... This matches Maleficent IMO.. Just the main character's main look
