Weird, Temptalia said sort of the opposite. I'm more inclined to believe you though since Temptalia is nowhere near my skin tone.
Yeah different skin color/undertones I guess. :) I remember on Mandy, Kinda Sexy and Oxblood were virtually the same but Dolly's swatches on her make them look different.

Definitely :) I think I'm safe skipping all these lipsticks honestly, but the collector in me needs one.

If anybody in NYC knows what stores will have it, can you let me know or PM? Whatever makes you more comfy! I only called flatiron since it's right next door to me and they aren't getting it.
I'm confused about what makes a certain MAC location a 'select location'.

Anyway, I am going to start out at MAC Times Square- It seems like it would be a select location and I think that it opens at 8:00am. I usually like to shop at the MAC counter in Century 21 in lower Manhattan but I don't know if they would get this collection. If MAC Times Square doesn't have this (or Cinderella), I still have time to get to Macy's Herald Square ( they open at 9:00 am and have 2 MAC counters) to see what they have (Thank goodness I go to work late on Thursdays!). I am looking to swatch items for possible back ups so if these two stores don't have the collections, it's not the end of my world. If you need to get items, I would call first to make sure that they are getting the collections (but as other Specktrettes have pointed out, you can't go by what you are told). You probably have to decide if it is worth it to camp out at whatever store you chose.

Ugh now I'm staring to worry I called 3 stores just to see if they were going to have this collection and 2 of them said they were already sold out of some items!!!!!! ugh it's going to be real ugly tomorrow.

PS. They both oxidize on me. Brills turns on the greyer side and LJ turns to the pinker side.
Thanks for posting these! They look very similar to me. I still want LJ, but since my work precludes me from going to any stores tomorrow, I may have to make do with Brills. My fingers are crossed that a miracle will happen! There could be re-stocking online. I hope!

And I agree that Temptalia's swatches have at times been inaccurate to me as well.

^ I thought they couldn't do pre-sells. How did they already sell out? Grrr. Different rules for different folks. Very unfair.

Summer Opal - a beautiful pale beige baby rose gold with beautiful golden shimmer which is not glittery or over the top. On my skin, its a beautiful soft pale slight rose glow.
BK - It looks more pink/red on my arm, but on my pigmented lips is definitely a pinked coral with red undertones. Its actually quite beautiful on. I think it looks better & less bright if you do the dab & smoosh.
Romantic Breakdown - is such a very pretty pale dainty beige rose. I love the subtle nude/rose/pale dusty pink shade it gives my lips.

The texture is soft creamy & smooth for all products. I'm quite happy with all of it.

Really cloudy dark here today so the pics....

^^^this pic is better color wise.

Stores make up their own rules sometimes

That really drives me crazy. For those of us who have been loyal MAC customers for years (15+ year for me), but who haven't had the time or opportunity to befriend MAC employees or live near certain MAC locations that have more favorable policies, it really is unfair and a slap in the face to not be able to buy an LE product because of this unfairness.

Polishes are :clapping:
Omgooosssshh I'm SO GLAD I got Kashmir Blue. :eyelove: I did watch Macaolic's review on it and I'll admit it was a bit disheartening. But I still can't wait to try it myself. I don't care if I need 20 coats (okay, maybe I do but..) this color is gorgeous ! It's going to really pop with a summer glow :star:

Forbidden Sunrise on top and Sounds Like Noise on bottom:

FS is a little creamier. FS is ever so slightly warmer than SLN in the arm swatch and SLN appears to have a little bit more white in it especially on the lips, but they are extremely close.

All these posts confirm I made the right move by getting Burmese Kiss and Romantic Breakdown.
