I don't like the whiny characters that can't face the reality of a situation. Like when zombies are running around or some other bad BS is going down and they're all lalala or crying in the corner. I want that person to die ASAP. They're the weak link.
Well you can have your Zombies. Meddy is not into scary movies. I spend way too many nights alone, and my little 4 lb puppy couldn't even lick an intruder to death.

Oh, and she doesn't even bark.

 I love scary movies and shows. Nothing scares me because nothing is worse than my own imagination. Mysteries or thrillers seem to creep me out a bit more. I'm rewatching The Twilight Zone on Netflix and some of it creeps me out a little.

16 would be your shade. The sensual skin enhancer is an amazing product. Thick enough to conceal but you can also sheer it down for foundation. A little goes along way so don't be alarmed but the small package size.

I watched The Twilight Zone many moons ago...that was enough. I don't mind thrillers like The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and Taken. I can't think of more at the moment but there are several that I've enjoyed.

It's a fantastic book. So is her first book Sharp Objects. I can't wait for her next one. It's funny because I read her books in reverse order. If you do that you can see the progression in the writing but they're all fantastic.
I think I'll read Dark Places next!

You ladies are convincing me to read Gone Girl! I've been wanting to see the movie for ages and still haven't gotten around to it. I know I'm late, but I just saw the Marc Jacobs Instamarc contour powder and I'm in LOVE with Mirage/40. Am I justified in ditching my ABH contour kit for this? I only ever really use the two middle shades anyways which seem pretty similar to these. Not to mention the MJ compact is HUGE.

If it's a book to movie situation like this one, and I've read the book, I MUST have the DVD.  You know---to pass time on rainy days!!!:haha:
I don't like Nick at all. Amy isn't likeable either and she's extreme, but I'm more on her side. Look, he made his bed, OK? You can buy or rent it on iTunes, but the DVD is available now. I'm going to google those other differences because I want to know now! :haha:
I did not like either of them (him less so than her. She was cray cray)! I was thoroughly annoyed with both of them by the end of the book. So annoyed that I think I hate the book lol :haha:
Yes it is.  I saw it when I was out shopping but didn't pick it up at the time.  All of this chatter about it has renewed my interest in it.    I think the ending showed how mutually & psychologically inept, yet co-dependent they were.  They thrived on the other's neuroses.    I'm dying to talk about the differences!  Major hint here---Tyler Perry's role!!!
Yeah, a lot of people hate a book or a show or a movie if they're annoyed by the characters. I understand that, but that never bothers me. At least, "evil" characters don't bother me. I find them fascinating. I think the scariest thing of all is that there are real Nick and Amy's out there. Not to the same extreme, but they're out there. Oh, oh, OK. I found a site that lists 15 differences. Most of them minor. The only one that really registers with me was a character that was cut out completely.
I've never felt that way about a book 'til I read Gone Girl. Maybe I'll read it again to make sure lol. I usually like the bad guys (don't judge me). Not all of them, but the ones that are truly tortured and are just and bad because life wasn't fair to them. lol
I like bad guys too and one of my friends who's a book and tv nerd shakes her head at me. I don't care. It's fiction. One thing that bothers me are needy or whiny characters. Anything else I can deal with. Most shows I watch are full of bad people or people doing bad things and I still love it.
A few characters were cut out.  This si a riot.  I can see us now going back and reading the book!!!!
Someone involving Desi. That's the only character I missed. Hell, I might start playing the audiobook again in a couple of days. The author of GG has another book called Dark Places and they made a movie of it with Charlize Theron. I don't know what to make of it. I love the book, but the movie trailer looks like some Law & Order episode or something. Plus, I'm not a fan of Theron at all and she doesn't fit the character description. Unlike GG, the author didn't write the script. I smell a hot mess on the horizon. :eek:hboy:
Nothing bothers me more than a victim that clearly doesn't have to be a victim.  I find victim turned fighter & victor much more appealing than a whiny little victim w/no    fight in them.  It's been a while but one book that comes to mind is the 'Pilot's Wife'.  I just wanted to slap/shake her!!!  You know a real "SNAP OUT OF IT" moment.
I just saw that movie trailer!!!  Do I need to read Dark Places???     RE: L & O episode!

SPOILERS I went to bed and missed all this! Lol I was initially sympathetic to Nick but not as much after he did his foolishness. It's amazing how he actually thought he was in love with that girl. Smh. Amy... what a scary human being. All the lies! And Desi. So oblivious to his own creepiness. I'm glad if this author gets her due. This is such a gem amidst tripe like 50 you-know-what etc. I certainly didn't like their actions but I wasn't bothered by the characters because they made the book so interesting. I definitely want to read her other books. I find the moral eps of Twilight Zone to be really gripping. Like "The Silence", "Obsolescence", "I Am the Night, Colour Me Black" etc and there was one where the neighbours thought aliens had landed and they descended into total suspicion and chaos.

It's not patchy. It's creamy and opaque. The pic isn't doing it justice. I should be outside taking pics in the natural light but I'm on strike against pants at the moment. :haha:
That's a beautiful shade on you madam.
Completely forgot to drop these here! The "new" Lolita that dropped this week and Stila Patina. I loveeeeee the way patina looks. So rosey and pink. It definitely reminds me of spring. I'm not sure about Lolita yet it's a pretty color but I think I was expecting more because of the hype around it. It definitely pulls a little brown on me and I'm not sure how it compares to the first launch.

I will definitely get Patina this weekend. I already have Lolita. I think I got the latest version. I purchased mine about 7-8 months ago.

BYE LOLITA I'm breaking up With the idea of getting lolita in the ORIGINAL formulation. This love affair is over!!!
I feel ya on that. I ordered patina from stila to see how that looks instead.
It felt a little dry! Not overly creamy. I haven't tried it on my face yet so haven't really formed an opinion about it! It's an interesting consistency lol doesn't feel like usual cream products idk how to explain!!
Wonder if the drier texture will make it better for oily girls... But if it's too dry it will be patchy, right ? Hard to apply? I've never used cream contour highlight or blush before

Hi ladies! What under eye concealer and/or corrector is your favorite? Grad school is taking a toll on my sleep and my nars radiant creamy concealer isn't cutting it anymore. I have some pretty bad dark circles. They're not too puffy though.

The new BECCA corrector seems promising, I swatched it in store and its creamy and a peachy pinky color! Here's a better look at the color -

From Sephora, I like Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Concealer in #350, it's a great peach undertone that corrects the dark circles really well! It's also not dry, so it's great for the undereye area, it hydrates and looks really nice alone if you are around light-med skin tone. If you are fair-light you can try #320. You can also use it under a concealer and it doesn't cake. I just recommend setting it with a powder :) I like it, but it's too light if u are around NC30, it makes the dark circles look ashy. It did look great under her concealer, I used honeycomb and it made my dark circles disappear :)
Yes she needs to come out with more shades! Like a light medium dark version BC the formula seems really nice!

Yea, usually I am scared of concealers in containers like that one, they always come out dry. But this one was different, creamy and nice! :)
