Ohh these are cute!
I met my husband in high school. I went to his school in the middle of the day for an art class mine didn't offer, and we grew up 2 miles apart. We became friends since I was friends with a lot of his in that class already, but he was very shy and nerdy and I was pretty out there and gothy, so he never told me he had a crush on me the whole time (if he did he would've found out I had one on him too ha. He's that ginger, Richie Cunningham/Seth Green type I've always liked so much). We graduated, parted ways, and lost touch aside from a myspace comment here or there until I moved out to Chicago. My best friend was an film editing major, so we would make movies when we were bored in the dorms and he would post them up to Facebook. Well apparently one really caught my husband's eye enough to bring him out of his shell, and his 4 year silence from me, and the dating world (it really was one of the stupidest videos we posted on top of it). He popped up on chat and told me I had the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen, and then signed off, immediately! Like how am I supposed to respond to something like that when you're not there anymore. So I messaged him back and it turned into catching up and talking online every night. Eight months later I was going to be in town for a friends wedding and we decided we should catch up in person since it had been so long. He picked me up at my mom's house, and the first time I had heard his voice since high school was when he called to say he was on his way. He took me to a dinner, movie and ice cream, and still to this day argues it wasn't a date, but I'm sorry, you don't take a gal out to all of those things, and then kiss goodnight and not call it a date haha.
But that's all it took. One date. We talked a million times on the phone everyday following it, and two months later he quit his job, packed up his car and came out to Chicago for us to be together. We've been together ever since, and just got married this past July. When it's meant to be, it's meant to be.
