I got a sample of the new Makeup Forever foundation and I may be the only person who doesn't love it. The finish is really meh and I feel like it accentuates dry patches. I don't feel like it ever set well and it just makes my skin look dull. I wonder if it's too heavy for me or just not good for dry skin? I also got a sample of the YSL primer and the little glitters are pretty noticeable all over my skin. I don't hate it but I'm not sure what benefits it has? It could be getting a bad wrap bc I paired it with the MUF foundation I sampled today for the first time. I'll try it again tomorrow with one of my go to foundations. Have to admit that I didn't expect the glitter flecks to be as noticeable as they are in the light & sun.

Off topic but the Macy's flash sale was discussed here earlier so......Of course the items I ordered both showed In Stock when I placed the order, but now one has been cancelled and the other is on backorder until August. AND I now have on my account pending charges from Macy's for the original order total and then individual charges for each item ordered. So if you order $1000 worth of product from Macy's, you have to have $2000 in your account to cover the multiple times they charge you. Never again, Macy's, never again. Fool me once.
They are so unscrupulous!!!! They're famous for pulling crazy crap-----like saying they have items in stock and then revealing they're backordered after you complete the transaction. There was no online mechanism to cancel the order and when I called to cancel it I got a song and a dance----until I started using terms like deceptive practice. They were suddenly able to cancel my order and asked me to return the GWP that had already shipped. I said send me a prepaid label & I'll be glad to. Of course they never did. Case closed. Watch them like a hawk!!!

I could have slapped that guy for offering me crap and expecting me to take it, smh...for me, it's not about a silly bag or even the money offered, its about all of US, the customer! The people who make them rich! I'm a fighter at heart, especially when it pertains to something I believe in or value!

They just don't get it!

Just finished catching up on 35+ pages. Phew!

I haven't bought much in the way of makeup lately. I was on vacation when Champagne Pop launched, and missed it the first go-round, but caught it when it came back. I also ordered the new GlamGlow FlashMud, but haven't used it yet.

Trying to figure out what to order so I can get a sample of the new MUFE foundation to try. Currently have the 108 foundation brush in my cart. I also want to take advantage of the VIBBLUR promo, so I might pick up a couple of the new KVD liquid lipstick shades.

It's not just you, I felt the same way. I hated it. I am definitely disappointed and will miss the old formula forever :(

[@]YarahFlower[/@] I thought of you yesterday when my package arrived. I ordered the cute floral version of #55 brush and got the ysl promo... My order came in this GIANT DAMN BOX and all I could do was "is this for real right now??? :eek:hboy: what a waste!!" They bitch about shipping costs to you and send me stupidly sized boxes. This could have fit in their regularly sized box for sure.

So ridiculous. If they EVER cancel an order on me, because I have to "keep in mind their shipping losses" you best believe I'll send them this box and tell them to shove it! Sigh. Why does sephora have to be the only thing around me that sells the brands I love? I am very much an instore shopper and we don't have a nordies here or much of anything.

I wore some shadows from the new Smoky Palette out to dinner tonight

I LOVE LOVE the Smoky Palette as the shades are so me.

I wore Dagger (beautiful dark navy blue) on my lids & smudged a bit under my lower liner with Radar ( such a lovely brownish amber - LOVE this shade) in the crease - GORGEOUS GORGEOUS!!!! I wore Chanel's Accent blush (a must have) & MAC's Giambattista Valli in Charlotta. Such a beautiful sexy look. A nice smoky look without looking like my inner streetwalker

I was shocked how much I love the new Smoky Palette too.

Loving the YSL blur primer sample I got! It definitely blurs out pores better than porefessional. I pair it with the new Mufe ultra HD and set with TF primed & poreless loose setting powder and the pores on my nose and cheeks are virturally gone! :eyelove:

I'm still curious to try the MUFE foundation, but I think I'll wait for it to hit stores. I saw a youtube review of a lady who uses my shade and she loves it, but she said it's sheer/medium coverage. That's disappointing. I need medium/full. For now I can just keep using Liquid Lift.

i think its more medium to full actually. if im just goin light i dnt use as much and sheer it out but its thicker n creamy so it ends up more medium coverage on me! i have nothing bad to say about this foundation but i wanna do like a comparison for my own 2 eyes! i've been wearing it since i got it.

that sounds like a good combo!! im down for anything that'll make the pores around my nose n cheeks disappear i think its more medium to full actually. if im just goin light i dnt use as much and sheer it out but its thicker n creamy so it ends up more medium coverage on me! i have nothing bad to say about this foundation but i wanna do like a comparison for my own 2 eyes! i've been wearing it since i got it.
Well, that's good to hear. I just looked at a new video and the lady said it's medium/full. So many damn opinions and you're trying to sort out the most reliable. :eek:hboy: The same lady also said it eats up her other makeup? Have you noticed that? Like she said it makes her highlight disappear and her blush separate. I've never heard of that before, but maybe that's because she has oily skin. Mine is dry and I've never had those problems.

I hope you had an amazing vacation Yazmin & I'm glad you were able to get Champagne Pop. GG Flashmud is amazing. After using it for 3 consecutive days as
recommended, I didn't want to stop. The difference is incredible. I do protect from the sun big time though because they also warn that you can be more sensitive to it,
so to speak, when using the product.

My leanings say it's not sheer, but not medium/full. Kind of like... Just medium? I mean you can sheer it out of course, but to get my desired coverage i need 2.5 pumps (and a lot comes out in one pump) and I'm aiming for medium/full and I still have to use a good dose of concealer under my eyes, and other places where i typically am red (around nostrils and chin) I feel like that's a lot of foundation to use to get the coverage I'm looking for. But it's a dead on match and that's super super rare for me. So i'm willing to work with it. I guess I'm too used to those "pigment" foundations like cover fx and the new nars one that is like... 1-1.5 pumps (or drops) completely full faced coverage.

The number of pumps a person uses is always funny to me because I do it strangely. I never push down all the way on my foundation pump and right from the start I push 2-3 times. That's pretty much all I need. When people talk about pumps I wonder if they do it like me or if they push all the way down on the pump. I think my 2-3 probably add up to just 2. The Liquid Lift foundation is enough to even out my complexion and make me feel good about it. It does a good job covering the darkness under my eyes. Sometimes I use concealer there, too or on little spots on my face, but I'm not so consumed with completely covering everything.

:haha: I push the pump all the way down for a "full" pump. But I see what you mean! I just go one pump at a time because I used to be the woooorst at estimating how much I need and then I'd waste so much product. :eek:hboy: I've never tried liquid lift. I dont think my location sells it?

:haha: I see people doing full pumps on youtube and my eyes go big at how much comes out. I do baby pumps. I know I'd end up with too much otherwise. You might not need liquid lift. It's for dry...mature skin. :haha: Maybe in ten years you can try it out.
