Ok everyone: what'd you haul? Me: Sephora Collection LE #55 brush, Fresh Seaberry Oil mini (about to finish my second Guerlain Abeille Royale oil since Feb and want to find a cheaper oil!), and a boatload of samples (3 foundation, 2 primer, 2 fragrance).

super quick photo wearing the new mj primer and foundation! Like I said in an earlier post it is shade #10. I'm loving this. It's like a way better version of the nars all day luminous. It doesn't feel heavy or look cakey at all! I almost feel bare faced. Very impressive for a full coverage foundation! However, it's also not serum-y in my opinion. Dior nude air and foundation types like that feel a little more "greasy" if that makes sense. The MJ foundation sets really nicely! I'm going to give it about a 12-13 hour wear test. However I don't wear makeup much longer than that. It's supposed to rain today and it's really hot / humid. We'll see how it holds up!!

So beautiful and looks so natural on you!

Just left event. I went to a small sephora because all the ones in the city were full. It was a bust. It just didn't make sense to get anything on my wish list because all the other stores have better deals right now. I thought I might get jubilation because it is so hard to resist but there was nothing there. It's on display with the new collection. All empty spaces with one lone Telesto. I asked the sales girl and she found it on the regular display and starts to open it. I hate that, I told her not to but she said she had to check that no one had swatched it. She shows it to me and says it's fine but it did look used to me. So no go. The one thing I thought I should get because I just can't wait is the Smashbox cc concealer. Well none left in my shade. I picked up a MJ brush but decided I might do better to just order online and get ebates. I asked the SA if I could get the gift without a purchase and she said yes. I bought a sephora concealer anyway. I ordered one yesterday but I think this shade is better. So I'll go home and order the mufe stuff I wanted and maybe the brush and jubilation. Oh and they had a Kat Von d teeny weeny lipstick as a point perk that I got . I don't know if the color suits me. lovecraft I think.

Hubby wanted to go out to breakfast so I ended up going to the event afterwards even though I said I wasn't. It was a total disappointment. The bag wasn't worth the trip and they had nothing in stock that I wanted. It was just a way to get more money out of us. From now on I'm only going to the sale events. On my way to ULTA to use my coupon and redeem some of my points.

Yeah I felt the same way!! The store was way too crowded for my liking !! I just picked up the Clinique turnaround face oil !! I don't think the sample bag needed any purchase to redeem either!! I think I am getting used to the ease and comfort of ordering online & ebates :haha:

I'm reading the reviews for one of the samples I got... and this just made me laugh and I wanted to share.

I understand concerns about fake reviews, but that's not the place to put it! Just put why you rated it 3 stars. Lol.

My event was pretty good... didn't seem nearly as busy as normal which was ironic, because I had to call them to get on the RSVP list, because they were supposedly "at capacity" for the online RSVP. I love the staff at this particular store, though, so there was no way I was going anywhere else.

I got the Origins Original Skin Retexturizing mask with Rose Clay, the Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Treatment (I have this and love it, I was out), the Sephora Total Age Defy Cream for Eyes and Lips, the Sephora Bright future Gel-serum concealer, and the Sephora Radiant Luminizing Drops in Ultralight. And then a boatload of samples (the MJ foundation, the TF foundation, some Bumble hair stuff, a few fragrances, and some skincare).

I'm kinda "meh" about the goodie bag, but I don't turn down free. The Moxie blah blah lip color I got is not my favorite. I'll probably throw it in with a birthday gift for a friend or something.

I didn't feel up to going to the event, especially with a toddler. So, I ordered Tocca Isabel and wasted 100 points on MJ Mod Noir "sample". That thing is too tiny for 100 points. I also ordered another MJ Nudeist liner. I hope this one isn't broken. My first one was broken and I didn't notice right away. I hate MJ packaging for the price. No 4X the points either.

Is the bag thick like the black and white stripe one from the last event?

I have that mask and I have been loving it!! Sounds like you had a good haul. :)

I enjoyed the event too. While I know it could always be better for as much as we all spend there-- I always love free bags of samples and how not crowded my location is. The staff at my location is super awesome too! Definitely helps the experience.

Your glowing review of it was why I decided to try it! I've never tried an Origins mask I didn't like, so I figured it was a safe bet. :)

I called Sephora online again and it's 4X the points tomorrow online. If you placed an order today, make sure they adjust your points. Again, no bag for online orders.

Oh wow! Did you try 10? I heard the shades make big jumps so it really sucks for people inbetween.
Yup.

And I'm a MAC NW10-15, NARS Mont Blanc, Bobbi Brown Alabaster (although that's now too yellow for me), Tom Ford Cream complexion. So 10 should have been good for me....

I nabbed a sample of the next one up even though I know it's too dark, plus a Givenchy foundation, and a Laura Mercier foundation. I love my Tom Ford, but paying $80 for foundation is so painful.
