:sigh: I can live with it, I guess. Such a shame for an expensive line. :eek:hboy: I hope it doesn't happen to any of the others I have. Have they addressed the issue publicly? And, are the newer one minus whatever ingredient is going bad?
I don't know. I hadn't looked it up but then I saw your post and the others followed. That is disturbing. The boys aren't even a year yet. We all have such a big repertoire to get through undoubtedly, we can't have them going bad that quickly. I'm sure it is one of those moisturizing natural oils that turns bad.

Mama did check, if this were to happen for her purchase. The local NM would give her an in-store credit. Another reason to build a relationship with a Product Specialist. Even is it was a year later after purchase. I would think Nordy's would do the same.

I want to feedback this to them, but it's too bad TF online has terrible customer service (at least in my experience) - they just don't seem to care.

What can we do with lippies that go bad though? Scrape? Wipe the outside? Throw it away?

I agree with Aschievic that, especially if they are less than a year, take it back to the store you bought it. But if it was from TF online ( as some of mine were also), TF needs to do something since Boys shouldnt already have turned.

You have to throw it away as you can get a really bad infection from using expired cosmetics and you certainly don't want sores and an open lesion on your mouth.

If you want the info to actually get to the powers that be at the actual company as TF. Speak to the Regional Rep of the product for the store you shop at, such as NM, Nordy's, whatever. As for a time limit for return. Again, this should not be an issue as to how long it has been. Unless it has been like 5 years. And you have a nub left. The other day Mama shared with the National rep of Armani pertaining to a product she was quite unhappy with. Nope never asked for money back. She bought it like 5-6 months ago. Was just sharing with the rep her issues with the product. The rep took it upon herself and got Mama a full return for it. Of course she didn't have the product with her. Since she wasn't returning it, didn't expect to see this lady. Arrangements have been made the next time she is in the store, they will handle the return. Doesn't have the receipt either. But the rep did ask "tell me the product is still close to being full?" Yes, it is.

A good company wants to know when there is a problem. Sadly they will listen to their employee's on the higher up food chain faster than just us. Unless you are like my Mama and she just kicks butt.

I'm pretty sure that I got it from NM & I know their online rep. And, she did get me one of those promo little boys with purchase.

No the Boys shouldn't have so soon but neither should any of the others. I'm sure all of us have had some lippies for years and this doesn't happen!!!
