Nail Polish Discussion - Any Brand

These are all really nice! I love the Ciate - never tried that brand and don't need another one to buy but it's so pretty! The FF is a nice summery colour, shame the flakies were a bit naughty. The Tonic is a nice shade.

I have a couple more manis, these are actually from last week as I only wore one polish this week and didn't take pictures.

First is KBShimmer Maybe Navy, pictures aren't the best as usual, lots of pink flecks not visible.





Next is Nailed It Master of Regeneration. Very hard to photograph due to the shimmer. It was also not as sheer as it looks in the pictures. Very pretty though.







I have no nail related news, I didn't order from HHC (although I was tempted by a couple) and as usual not looking at PPU. Was going to order a couple polishes from FF, but didn't in the end. So yeah, that's my news, hahaha.

I've finally put away my new polishes (only took a month, lol) and I'm down to my last drawer, only have enough space for a handful of polishes. I guess that's an incentive not to buy more, I literally don't have anywhere to put them!

I've decided to stop buying fragrances too, it has taken over from my nail polish obsession, but again lack of space and funds is telling me to be sensible.

I really need to find a new hobby that doesn't take up space and doesn't cost much! I guess there's sports, but... I'm too lazy, lol.

I just made something very similar to the KBShimmer one! I have been not nail shopping due to my holiday! I must sort out my holiday mani pics soon but I'm trying to catch up with work. I'm happy to have my unique role at work but it means no-one covers for me. I have to take a load more leave in the next month or I'll lose it, can't figure out how to fit it all in!

I ran out of space a very long time ago, I now have polish everywhere! I feel you on shopping based hobbies - I've been enjoying making polish over the last few months, though it's hardly free. Good luck finding something that suits you!

Sorry I've not been around, my life has been... well, the usual. I haven't actually bought any polish lately, although I have a few mani pictures that I need to sort out. Will try to post them tomorrow. Hope all is well with you.

Hey Anita, I'm OK - been stressed, work is mental and I've had my email blocked by Virgin, which has taken over a week to sort out. Then my internet blew out in the storm on Friday, so I've also had to be in-office this week as I can't wfh. I have edited my pics though! It's amazing what you do when the telly, phone and internet don't work...
Life is life I guess, hope things are looking up.
I haven't really been shopping for polish either (especially since the internet went down!). I just now got access to my emails and found my Nailed It! prize polish is being delivered tomorrow - I provided one of the inspiration pics for the FB Group Birthday customs and won a bottle, which she kindly shipped to the UK.

I loved this! I wore it on holiday and refused to change it even when it started to chip!

Oh I loved this so much! Really shifty, really sparkly and really pretty. I really liked the whole collection of these and plan to wear the rest soon. I've been truly loving my G&G shifty polishes that have been coming in, move over Illyrian...

Next item worn was Illyrian Cloudburst:

This is actually the polish I took away on holiday to change into but didn't. It didn't look very exciting in the bottle and I wasn't really excited to wear it but I liked it far more than I thought I would. The base looks pale lilac in the bottle, in different lights on the nails it looks lilac/blue/grey. I was enjoying it until I broke a nail

I'm a bit annoyed because I sat and edited pics of these ones as usual but I don't know what happened to them - possibly victims of my IT outage, but all the individual pics have vanished
Anyhow, L-R: All Magic Comes With A Price, Spellbound, Genie, Centauri Prime.
I love three of these, Genie's a bit frosty for my liking but still nice. I felt it was a good day's polish making!

Oh I did love this! Two easy coats, wore really well. My first ever wearing of a straight neon creme and I was delighted with it. It's the sort of colour I've been craving for months and I finally got it on and was not disappointed. Sadly I didn't wear it nearly long enough for my taste as I broke ANOTHER nail

I wasn't that pleased with this set, I like the green one and the pink/gold shimmery one, but at the end of the day's work I was a bit underwhelmed. Anyhow, that's all my home-made polish up to date now. I know I've made a lot - but I still have a mountain of ingredients ready to go, so there will definitely be a load more!

And finally if you've made it this far, this is what I'm wearing now:

Miss Sporty 60 - a very cheap drugstore polish I bought many many years ago and have never worn. I actually really like it, and it was a great formula (2 coats). It's been on since Sunday without chipping and has done two days in latex gloves so far. The quality is much higher than I thought it would be. It's the kind of colour I loved back in the day and I still do. Not as fancy as an indie, but it works!

Spamathon over for now, sorry if I've been boring, this has built up over a fair few weeks, it feels good to be done and I can now file the pics!

I really like a lot of them, but my favourites are Dam Nail Polish Sunsets and Chill, Glisten & Glow Get Off My Tail, the Miss Sporty, All Magic Comes With A Price, Spellbound, Genie, Centauri Prime, My Other Half Is Combustible, Don't Panic, Mind War, Mysterions and Reefer Madness.

I love your manis! I have that ILNP and it looks so shifty, must try it one of these days!
The St Nicholas is pretty too, it's cool how it retains the colour while still being so holo. Apparently I also own this one...
I like the complexity in the FF, again I own it lol!
I thought I also had Beat It but I don't. Nice holo effect in it though. I guess even back then I tended to buy fewer grey polishes!

My Miss Sporty is still going strong! I've recently bought some of the new GLLs, some forthcoming VVs and some of the newer Phoenix polishes - not too much but far from being nothing!

I just got a shipping notice from Nailland for my summer neons order - I consolidated and finalised that order on 16 August, I knew it contained some new pre-order items but I never for a moment thought it would take 2 months to get them shipped! Anyhow, thankfully I'm not a seasonal polish wearer so it doesn't matter but I've been so keen to see my lovely bright purchases, can't wait now! I've been ill for over 2 weeks now, so I have only painted my nails once, barely bought anything and not made anything - and I still feel like death warmed up I took a half day of annual leave and slept through it, and the following weekend, took 2 1/2 days off sick, all for a stupid cold, it's knocked me right off my game I finally went back to the office on Thursday and it seems to have made it worse again. I think I need 6 months in the Bahamas to recuperate!

Hi Anne! Sorry to hear you've not been well. I've been feeling a bit off too, mostly just very tired and stressed, but I feel like I have a cold coming on. All sorts of bugs have been going around in the office, so I'm not surprised.

One of our cats is having health issues too, he seems to have bladder stones, so I've taken him to the vets for tests and he has to be on a special diet which of course costs a fortune.

I also haven't bought any polishes lately, although I'm contemplating the EdM from HHC. I'll see if I actually get it. I have worn some polishes and even taken pictures, let's see if I have time to crop and upload them today.

So sorry about your kitty, I've had a cat in the past with bladder stones, I feel you on the expensive special diet, but it did do well for mine.
I've been getting a bit stressed about HHC to be honest - I'm still waiting for my June order! I am never in a rush but with the Nailland delay and the sluggish shipping on HHC I don't know, it's been bothering me a bit.
I know there were reasons for the June delay, with first the box having a delivery failure and no card so it sat at the PO for several weeks before Fiona picked it up. Then she also has a new job which seems to mean she takes a bit of time to get round to sorting things out. Then she was ill for a couple of weeks, poor thing. All of this is not a problem, but she finally posted June shipping charges over 2 weeks ago, paid straight away but she's not been sighted since then. So no shipping yet - as I say, it's not getting the polishes that bothers me, I'm just worried the group buy might stop soon as it seems to be too much for her to handle. And of course my VV orders have also been going via HHC, which I truly appreciate them helping out but the delay is sad! I have a huge wishlist and a VV order for October, not sure how many I'll end up buying but there are about 8 on there plus 6 VVs and one I've seen swatched that isn't yet listed. I seem to have cut right back on PPU (yay!) but HHC buys are bigger so not actually buying less polish! I thought I'd been a bit more restrained lately, but I just checked my cc statement and I bought 24 polishes this month, much more than I thought! (2 HHC, 4 RC, 6 VV, 1 FF, 6 Nailland, 4 GLL, 1 PPU) It is less than recent months I guess, and I do really like most of them in theory, though none are here yet.
