Yes, some of the stores have questionable customer service. I have a few in my area and frequent the two that I feel have the best customer service. The sales girls know me and they are always super nice.I wonder if Ulta sent out different mailers to different customers (frequent shoppers v. Sporadic shoppers). My mailer clearly said that prestige brands were excluded, which is why I don't shop at Ulta. Well that and the subpar customer service. For years, I refused to step foot inside an Ulta because of its customer service.
And, yes, they send out different mailers. The prestige coupon is usually a large postcard. They usually do a 20% off at the same time, and that coupon can be printed from their website as well, but those have lots of exclusions. If you haven't already, sign up for the rewards program. Make sure to give them your email address and your birthday. Reward members will get a free full-size mascara coupon via email for their birthday (at least those in the rewards dollars program). Platinum members also usually get a $10 off coupon during their birthday month that is good on prestige items. I'm hoping they are still sending out those $10 off of $10 or more birthday coupons this year in addition to the CK mascara.
