Thats too bad you didn't have it. I have a ton of red lipsticks, but honestly, when I put Amant on I thought...now this is a Chanel red. Chanel red lipsticks somehow just have a distinct Chanel look.

How did I miss Amant? Thanks for the temptation, Elegant! I'm stilling mulling over Fiction. I adore the colour, but surely I have enough deep berry shades for one lifetime? If I get one more, I'm going to have to start wearing lipstick on my ears as well as my lips if I'm to have any hopes of using them up!

For the same reasons, I'm trying to convince myself that I don't need Crushed Cherry and Savage grace, although seeing the swatches of Crushed Cherry on Temptalia made me feel faint.

Seriously, almost every company has some nice reds, but Chanel is the ultimate destination for red lips. There is something about their reds that is just a bit... more... than others. I love all my red lipsticks (I've lost count of them), but the Chanel ones have a special place in my heart.

Thanks for all of the great swatches, ladies!!! I am on the fence about Amant - afraid it will be too warm for me, but I might end up giving it a go.

I will receive Suspense, Saga, Le Baiser, Synopsis and Starlet today.....can't wait to get them!! I have a feeling I may end up with at least one more........

My husband is traveling in San Francisco and just sent me a pic of a Chanel boutique. I just sent him the list of stuff I want from this collection. I hope he really goes in! I think he is intimidated by a Chanel boutique -- he's afraid they're going to try to sell him on a handbag, lol!

Wouldn't that be the best? Sadly, I won't get my hopes up on that one, lol! I haven't even heard back about my Chanel cosmetics wishlist I texted my hubs, hmmmph!!

Elegant and Katred -- do either of you have Paris l/s?

It might be a "red" I can pull off because it looks like it has a lot of pink it it (??)

Vamp and deep or true red lipsticks :

- Pirate
- Passion
- Inimitable ( satin finish, softer than the 2 mentioned above )
- Rouge Noir ( very vampy )

I have the 3 first ones, the texture and pigments are very good but I do prefer my Burberry Military Red, to me it's the most beautiful red ever ( classy, true red, gorgeous ).
The RA are good though, classy too.

This just in -- my husband went to the freestanding Chanel boutique in San Francisco. They have never heard of the Avant Premiere collection. So classic.

Update: my hubs apparently bought me something from the permanent line -- can't wait to see what color he chose for me, LOL ;)
