just got:

the quad
pink pulsion glossimer
pleasing glossimer
tweed fuschia

i am at work now (blah for working on a saturday!) so i can't swatch them...hopefully I will be able to get home before it gets light out so i can take some pics for some undecided specktrettes...i want to get the ombre d'eau and magnolia and patchouli but wanted to hold of until more swatches/reviews...so far what i hear about patchouli has been disappointing.

wait, to all you who have been ordering from neiman marcus, are you ordering from a store? because I don't see them online yet...i am hoping that this will go online the same time as the soho collection so i can get the rouge coco and the rouge allure lacque that i missed out on!

I ordered it online from the US so I can't return. Maybe I'll swap

Stunning!! So amazing the difference skintone makes. You can barely see those shades on me.

Awwwww... thank you ladies!

You guys are awesome!

Mrslid, what are you using to put those shadows on? The darker of the two pinks comes up highly pigmented on me. I was surprised that it showed up so well, to tell you the truth. The lighter color is best as a highlight for me.

I wonder if some kind of pigmented base would bring the colors out better on you?

Ingenue is killing me right now! I want this quad maybe in the next week or two. I feel so late to the party because I was wrapped up in Mac's VV collection. I'm insanely jealous of you all.

I have only ever used MAC Bare Study paint as a base. I've been wanting to find one to intensify colours. I never really have any issues with creasing or fading. I think it's just because I'm so pale they are too close to my skin tone. They did show up much better on my eyes with the base then on my arm when I did swatches earlier in this thread. The whole quad still looks awesome as a whole look but I could never get such an awesome look with what you did. Just no contrast. It really shows the beauty of the colours and shimmer on you!

Edit: Just remembered I did take pics the other day when I tried my holiday stuff. Yes I'm in my jammies

I'm wearing the entire quad and Magnolia on my lips with Pink Explosion for blush since I don't have Fuschia Tweed yet (I will on Tuesday

Awesome haul! Enjoy!

The pics aren't shown for the collection on NM online but if you go to the drop down boxes for quads, RCs etc the colours are there to choose.

I really is an amazing quad! I was so worried about it being a Euro version but it is so nice along with the Euro Reflets D'Ombres quad I just got that now I'm tempted to try more. Maybe since I wasn't happy with my US Enigma quad I should try the Euro version??

Ingenue, the quad looks so great with your complexion!! mrslid, it seriously looks rocking on you too!!!

I received my quad and Magnolia RC on Friday and have been loving them! The cream-colored e/s and the darkest e/s are smoother and shimmery. The pink and medium copper e/s have the prettiest, ultra-fine glitter in them. But I think a little bit of sparkle is exactly what I want in a holiday palette for some oomph!

Magnolia RC is a good slightly-cool pink for me, since I usually can't pull off blue-toned pinks at all. This is a good middle ground. It has a touch of shimmer that's pretty and subtle, and even though the texture is a little creamier than I prefer, it gives the finish just a bit of shine that I do like.

Its super gorgeous! I'm going to use it this week. I need to strip wallpaper in a bathroom but I want to try the polish - to save my nails, that job may have to wait

Hubby took it out of the huge NM box & said, you're kidding me, that's all that is in that box

It looks great on you mrslid! You DID get contrast with your look!

I think it looks lovely.

Funny thing is, normally to get that kind of color payoff, I have to pack Chanel shadows. But this stuff is SOOOOOOOOOO pigmented, I was blending it DOWN!
lol.gif

Shontay the quad is really awesome. I would say, if you're not going to get anything else from the collection, you NEED the quad. Yes... NEED.

You feature a lot of products I am curious about and haven't really seen featured by other women of color.
