Debi, thank you for the excellent review.. and pics of both hiliters s/by/s.. I took a look at them today also, and decided to pass.. beautiful design but I am leary of getting too much sheen which is how this looked on me (pinkish sheen, golden sheen). I am still in love with Prim & Proper, Rosee and Gana powders and have many other highliters which will fill in perfectly until I find the absolute perfect one. I think getting a highliter is like finding a great man.. the fit should be perfect and not something to "work on"

as for the rest of the collection, I was not overly enthused and will skip in entirety.

I'm addicted to highlighters. I always want more and I already have SO so many...does that make me a highlighter hussy?!? lol!!!

Okay! Picture! I tried swatching but it isn't coming out like I want it to and the sun is setting so one side of the house is too dark and the other side is glowing yellow and glaring. I was able to get this photo in natural light, though, and I think it does an excellent job comparing the two highlighters. The Holiday Highlighter on the left (pinker in tone, less glitter, more finely milled) and the Pearl Glow on the right ( more golden toned, more glitter, a bit chunkier). The best way I can describe it is an NW15 vs an NC15 and sheen vs shimmery! I hope this helps!

Lovely pics! I think the highlighter looks really pretty, but for now I am holding strong and not buying LOL Thanks for all of your descriptions -- it helps so much as I'm ordering everything online

lol It is pretty! I plan to use mine like a maniac! But don't feel bad. I had forgotten about my Chanel Bronzer. I've been using the 5000 other bronzers I bought this year and that one is still fresh and waiting for me to use it!

Here is swatch of the Noir-Ivoire duo. I must say that I love it!!! I applied Ivoire over my MAC painterly paint pot and it really brightened my eyes. Noir is a perfect not too harsh black that I used to line my upper and lower lash line. I applied Beige Lame in the crease. The best part for me is that there was no crepey appearance even throughout the day which, is usually an issue for me.

Thanks for the pic. I love the duos. Did you have any fallout problems with Beige Lame? It looks like such a pretty color!

Winthrop44-Beige Lame is light enough that if there is any fallout you would hardly notice it. The funny thing is that I was only planning on getting Rouge Carat from the collection and am more pleased with this collection then previous ones. I like the duo way more than I like Topkapi which emphasizes the the crepey's and looks muddy on me.

I ordered Rouge Carat a few days ago, but I'll try to stay strong on everything else! I'm planning to stash-hunt and see if I can find anything close enough to the lip stuff so I can pass on all of it. Triomphal is going to be so hard to skip! That one may be mine even if I do find something close, lol.

So I ordered my Beige Lame from NM not chanel because I had it in my cart & when I went back to look, there was a mystery Chanel GWP along with it in my cart hahaha well I love a mystery gift...I just found out that it is the Chanel Sublimage Cleanser.

Oh, & you know how you get to select the free samples at the end of your order on chanel.com - well it would have been really awesome if they would have included a bubble sample pack of the coming Velvet lipsticks! I didn't like the samples I had to choose from when I ordered. blah

Mitchelle.. I like the highliter, but being totally averse to glitter for me personally, I did not jump on it. Also, I also think the np is a dupe for Ruby slippers.. lol... at a 10th of the price.

jmarie.. that duo looks lovely.. I opted for the dark grey/silver one since I am really liking silver for now.

RedVelvetX...the SA at Neimans gave me a sample of Inimitable Intense Black Mascara when I bought my items. I will take samples of mascara anytime!!!
