winthrop - Hope PG works on you, I think Cheryl has it and she likes it. Maybe if we use the sponge to apply, it will show up more.

Is anyone getting Feerie, the pink shimmery loose powder? I like it but I wonder if it is too shimmery and pink to be used all over the face.

^^ I looked thru the Nordstrom Anniversary thread to see if you might have said anything specific about why you passed PG elegant but all you said was that after seeing everything in person you were buying x, y and z and passing everything else...and of course you raved about our much loved Joyeuse. I had to laugh at my own posts calling Rose Tourbillon cool toned from swatches (on my skin it turned a very unattractive watermelon color so I swapped it away) and talking about how I didn't care for Euro Turbulent (I since swapped for & love US Turbulent). It just goes to show...again... that you really need to try things on yourself. Several people including Shypo (Oh Cheryl...where are you?) got PG, and Shootergal even got a backup of it.

ETA: Miss QQ you have a much better memory than I do. I had to look up who mentioned buying PG!

Yes, Cheryl did get it - Hey Shypo where are you!? I cannot remember if she said she liked it. Joyeuse :) I saw a photo of this gorgeous lipstick on Nordies.com & I'm thinking, I have to get that lipstick...it was Joyeuse

And as of right now, I still cannot decide what to do on the highlighters

Since we didn't get Rouge Byzantin, I'll actually be very happy if Famous looks like it. It is gorgeous in pictures, regardless. Other than that, I'm really interested in the highlight powder, even though I have no need whatsoever for a highlight powder and should be legally prevented from buying one ever again.

Couldn't agree more :)

So, I just ordered the Holiday highlighter

My finger was just on the Place Order button & it pushed it. How does one go from completely NO, I am NOT getting something to just spontaneously ordering it?

Then I will wait until miss winthrop gets her PG & see what she thinks.

I called my Nordies that just put the holiday out & this lovely Romanian gal that works for them described both but said the holiday highlighter is so beautiful on that I think it made me cave.

I still want PG

Oh good! I am not the only one being bad, then? I just came back from Nordstroms with the Holiday highlighter and RA Enivree! I still might go back for even more...another gloss is sort of calling my name. The funky gold one. And that gorgeous eyeliner. Please someone tell me there is a dupe out there somewhere in drugstore land! I would only be using it for one of my fairy looks and I know just which crown I would wear it with, too. Temptations, temptations...

Checked out the holiday collection at my local Nordies, and unfortunately (for me) it was a total bust. :/

Famous and Rouge Byzantin looked exactly alike on both my arm and my lips--the SA couldn't tell I had on two different colors when I put Famous on one half of my lips, RB on the other. I would say Famous pulls slightly pinker, so if you missed RB then grab Famous. Of course, if you have RB, Famous is a safe skip. Enivree's color and sheen didn't show up at all on my lips, as if all I put on was chapstick, but I could see the pink shimmers on my arm. It wasn't as golden as I hoped, but I imagine it'd be stunning on the paler ladies. If you want a pinky lippy with a nice golden sheen, and you're more tan, Fabulous would be a better pick. Empire was a deeper pink, though it felt tacky on my lips. Since I don't like gloss I didn't bother looking at the glossimers and EdGs. The highlighter came off pretty chalky on me so I'd say if you're deeper than an NC40, leave it. It was also much smaller than pictures made it seem.

Ended up walking away with Rouge Carat (can't wait to apply it!), the new foundation brush #6, the new Crayon Sourcils eyebrow pencil, and Rouge Allure in Fabulous. Sorry for no swatches, it's raining today and by the time I got home everything rubbed off onto my sweater. >_<

Great review. Thanks! I will definitely be skipping the red l/s now because RB did not work on me at all unfortunately. Sorry about your sweater...

2browneyes, I love Summer Plum too!

Okay! Picture! I tried swatching but it isn't coming out like I want it to and the sun is setting so one side of the house is too dark and the other side is glowing yellow and glaring. I was able to get this photo in natural light, though, and I think it does an excellent job comparing the two highlighters. The Holiday Highlighter on the left (pinker in tone, less glitter, more finely milled) and the Pearl Glow on the right ( more golden toned, more glitter, a bit chunkier). The best way I can describe it is an NW15 vs an NC15 and sheen vs shimmery! :) I hope this helps!

Debi, thank you for the excellent review.. and pics of both hiliters s/by/s.. I took a look at them today also, and decided to pass.. beautiful design but I am leary of getting too much sheen which is how this looked on me (pinkish sheen, golden sheen). I am still in love with Prim & Proper, Rosee and Gana powders and have many other highliters which will fill in perfectly until I find the absolute perfect one. I think getting a highliter is like finding a great man.. the fit should be perfect and not something to "work on"

as for the rest of the collection, I was not overly enthused and will skip in entirety.

I know what you are saying! Highlighting shows lines you never knew you had! I wore Pearl Glow today and it is pretty, but I wish I wore it over the summer with my bronzers. It would have added to that glowing look! I also bought Rosee yesterday because the moment I walked by it I fell completely in love and love the more matte finish. I think I am done collecting highlighters for a long time unless there is one perfect one out there for me. Some just make me look shiny and I seem to be leaning more towards a matte look on the face these days. It flatters me more, but I can still shine it up on the eyes nicely!!

The glosses were a bit boring or oddly coloured except for Triomphal. The rest I can't get excited over. I did see a few in their regular collection that grabbed my attention, so might go back in a week and check them out.

I'm getting afraid of my MU collection now. It is growing too much. So is my perfume collection, yet I adore perfume! I just need an entirely separate room to put all of these goodies!

Thanks Debi, that picture and description is a huge help!

I think PG will be the right tone for my skin, I'll just have to see if I find it too shimmery or glittery.
