Ours even had ratty hair wigs! We would stick short pins in their ears so that the flat part looked like they had their ears pierced

& Ken got a beard courtesy of the magic marker. THEN, we found out many years later how much the originals that we destroyed were worth - without our alterations

Barbie & I are the same age - both born in 1959

however, she looks much better in a bathing suit.

Oh my word that is so funny. Poor tortured Barbies! haha We did some bizarre things with our Barbies, too LOL

MissQQ -- lol to the messed up Barbies.  I can't tell you how many Barbies I have thrown away because of ratty hair.  My older two didn't get into dolls quite as much,  but you can imagine what our closets look like with 3 girls in our house! I want to find a good flesh colored liner, too.  Good to hear that Clair is a good color. Those pictures of the Spring blush are gorgeous.  I am becoming a little obsessed with that blush -- the finish is my absolute fave Bis and MissQQ -- you must tell us if you get any Jimmy Choo!

I wish, but JC does not make shoes for big-footed women :lol: And apparently his sizes run small.

Lol. Funny that Winthrop and elegant were watching the same movie. And I guess barbie dolls aren't fun unless we do bizarre things to them. Is tigerlily perm? Lexi - beautiful box! Is the camelia a brooch? Enjoy your haul! I haven't seen the collection yet. I went to the Jimmy Choo flagship store today and the new cruise collection just arrived yesterday. I tried on the shoes and they are comfortable and very well made. The base has a thick rubber pad which makes the shoe anti slip. The flats are very comfortable and pretty, though I wish the heel is slightly thicker than the front because I feel a bit unbalanced with the shoe being totally flat, but I guess I can get use to it. The shoes aren't very small or narrow and I think they can fit most people. My toes are rather wide so i feel the front of the shoes are a bit tight. I have large bony feet - I'm 37.5 or 38. I saw the shoes with the flower and it was on sale but in a tiny size 35. Didn't have the bag, I believe it was sold out. Saw the wallet too but it's not on sale. I put a pair of shoes on hold, the SA said they could hold it for 3 days. It is a dark navy blue patent with a gold rectangular metal in front and about 2 inch gold chunky heel. I really like it, it looks glamorous and it costs $825 in my currency, but I get a 10% discount until 15 Jan. And the SA said each size only comes in 1 pair! Maybe it is too glamorous for work wear so I can't get to wear it often. I shall think about it tonight. Happy New Year, everyone!

Let us know if you take the plunge MissQQ. I have small feet (U.S size 5.5) and it can be hard to find heels that don't slip on my heels. The navy heels sound gorgeous!!

Elegant--That necklace is beautiful. I love that whole collection also. I've been looking at more of their charms. That's always a good Valentine's Day idea for me. I love their newer blue shopping bag but I already have the regular silver one that hubby got me when it first came out.

Hubby finally found a charm necklace that wasn't too chunky for my Links of London charms he got me at Harrods while in Europe last fall. But we both agreed it will look better with an odd number and not an even number of charms due to how they will lay once on. I like chunky necklaces but not so much for pendants and charms on me. I will probably look at more of LoL charms to give him ideas for V-day. I don't want to put my LoL charms with my Tiffany charms, yeh I'm weird that way. I like to keep them on different chains. I'm not much on charm bracelets for myself even though I love them because I bang my wrist around so much I would dmaage them. I do take my Tiffany charms in for them to clean them and they look very nice but of course you can still tell the ones that are a bit older.


MissQQ--The shoes sound great. I've heard the JC shoes were very comfortable even in the high heels. Isn't that always the case that you find something you love and it's on sale but do have your size. I too love that bag but not so much the price. We'd love to know if and what you decide to get.

Your necklace & charm collection sound lovely! Tiffanys has some wonderful & yet still reasonably prices jewelry. I will have to look at the LoL as I have not seen them. Like you, I have a multi heart charm bracelet which I love but barely wear because I am afraid of smashing/denting one of the charms.

All mine are the 16" thin chains. I think they are more elegant & make whatever is on them stand out more.
I do have one of their 32" bead chain with a heart on it. I love that I can double wrap it.

^^Thanks for letting me know about the thin chain. I have lots of silver necklaces, but I think I want one of the chains you are talking about. I think so many of the charms are so adorable. And yes to the romantic at heart -- I love Valentines day. When we were dating, my husband wrote the sweetest poems and has always given me the cutest cards. I have saved them all

Happy New Year everyone! We're having a night in, since the weather here is horrible and catching a cab in Montreal on NYE can be pretty stressful (I almost got into a fight, a physical fight, with a girl coming home from a party last year). Plus I'm doing dinner for Dom and I tomorrow since we didn't have our Christmas dinner together (went to his sister's). I don't want to be passing out while trying to cook a fowl.

Tiffany's charms are so whimsical and pretty. I love them on the bracelets but I bang my wrists too and I'm sure I get them wet every time I wash my hands or my mugs etc so I'm nit thinking of getting any. Yeah I say start sending the valentine's day links! Katred - have a great meal! I avoid a stressful new year's eve too. So I found the pair of shoes I was talking about online. The metal in front doesn't look exactly like what I remembered and the SA said the colour was navy blue, not black.
