omg i am sharing that flashback now. the 90's certainly had a lot of interesting makeup highlights ;-)I just had a flashback...
Back in the 90's I used to pat powder eyeshadow on top of my lipstick to make it super matte and sort of powdery (Thanks 90210 and Melrose Place!). I wonder if these will look anything like that did? I'm sure the formula will be at least a billion times better, and the colors more flattering, so I can't wait to try it out!

good going ! that's the idea, stay ahead of the pack not lag behindThat's what I've been doing for the past month. Flawless skin, brown/nude eye with super defined eyes. Then I play with the blushes, from bright pinks to peach to nude-ish glow.

lol.. yep.... technological advances will be THE ace up companies' sleeves in order to capture the consumer. There are already LGs out which are supposed to stay on all day and pencils which have the same texture as a soft pencil but can deliver a lot of pigment for 12 hour wear -- the playing field is getting broader with companies like Maybelline ramping up their product lines -- so lots of competition and lots of choices.Nice. So this fall we got a powder that feels wet and in 2011, we're getting a jelly that feels dry. I'm so confused...
Seriously, I'm looking forward to seeing the new technology that they come up with. The innovations seem to have been great from this year- DtW lipglass and PLW foundation. I'm into anything that has a good colour payoff and is not drying. I'm always working in offices that are dry as sand and it seems like I always have to choose between dry, cracked lips with colour and soft, supple lips with a light gloss.
As soon as you told us my flocked lip fantasies would be a reality months ago, I started wondering what the heck sort of delivery method a product like that would have to use to give a finish like that without being a drying mess. I should have figured it'd be another wacky texture taken from other industries and applications, like those Dare To Wear glosses that are the same texture as prescription burn cream I had to get some years back.
Next time I want to get ideas for makeup trends, I should just take a trip to the pharmacy ointment aisle or maybe look through a catalog for industrial resins and injection molding. I just hope I don't start imagining what Preparation H would be like if only it was a lovely shade of metallic magenta
These products have a bit more body than a prep H -- more like a glycering suppository, melted-- or a just melted candle... and there will be metallic magenta, in fact that is one I have been looking at todayas well as a dusty pink silvery metallic... and more to come !!
^Yes liba! That would be awesome! I'm hoping that Style Curve from SY leans toward that kind of purple.
Agree with everything you said!Me too, but I'm keeping my expectations to something equally bright but with a lot less blue in it.
Now, later in the year, when the crazy colors for summer start peeking out.....I'll be ready to pounce in any case.

What the hell is that dog wearing? Is that a slanket/snuggie? Maybe a cape? A hoodie?
