Shannon4815 and BKNY1218

Have bought several items from both and have been very happy. Absolutely real. I go to the Estee Lauder warehouse sale in LI, NY and it's obvious that they do as well. I just get to go a few times a year and they tend to have what I miss :) or want MORE of.

I asked this seller for a close-up of their 'burnt burgundy' pigment a while ago, and it was so obviously fake, so I would never buy from them

Usually that's the case. I do know my makeup more than anything...but I'm also selling a sh*tton of Christmas ornaments right now cause they go for an arm and a leg!

If you know the seller's id:
Just go to "Advance Search" and choose "By Seller", then type in the seller's id.

or

If you are on a product page, just go "see other items" or "Visit Store" in the box on the right side of the listing.

from a newbie - is it possible to do anything if you find out months later that stuff is counterfeit? or just grin and bear it, lesson learnt?

Depends...define "months later". If it's 45 days or less, you can open a claim with paypal. If you've already left feedback, the seller will most likely do nothing. You can (and always should) report them to ebay for counterfeits.

well, it's definitely way over 45 days. i think the most recent purchase was back at the end of december.

i realise now i should have checked on here more diligently before making purchases on ebay! i think after my good experience with julie0150463 i just trusted everybody.

i just did a few searches on this thread and the specktra forum generally, so i think some of the other sellers i purchased from were trustworthy sellers (i.e. 123julie_green, charleyandemily, makeupemporium1, mybookitty), but i was wondering if anyone could tell me about any of the following:

bongolian
our_2_princesses
etherial*angel
missvcat
gkatsis26
noname7473
xpointer

i think i will probably throw out anything i'm not completely sure of just to be safe.

Give me a few hours, and I'll check them out. Also, don't throw them away.

I'll pay for you to ship them to me if you just want to chuck them. I'd like to have them to make some more counterfeit guides.

bongolian is good - 100% authentic

etherial*angel has been mentioned here before, just do a search, not sure about any of the others

Best advice, if in doubt, walk away...

i was lying in bed last night feeling pretty foolish for wasting my time and money last year trying to find discontinued items etc... at least your guides will be of use / value to other mac shoppers...!

Hon, don't feel foolish.

I bought counterfeits (hell, most of us have), except I think my story trumps most people, I'd spent $2,000 in one go. *smacks forehead.*

bongolian-fine
our_2_princesses-There's no info on Specktra about her and hasn't posted anything since October, so I can't verify her.
etherial*angel-She *seems* safe.
missvcat-I'm on the fence about her, she blocks all her feedback, which I don't like (seems fishy to me). She only has a Dior palette for sell right now though, so I wouldn't know.
gkatsis26-safe
noname7473-Sold fakes, no longer sells MAC
xpointer-Most of the stuff she's selling is too new to be faked, so I can't give 100% either way on her.

Sorry it took so long, my baby has been little Ms. Fussy Britches the last few days. Anyways, I'll pm you and anything that is authentic, I'll mail back at my cost.
