Has anyone purchased from cozmeticdelights on Ebay? They are selling a lot of pigments and e/s that I've seen recently at CCOs, but I just don't want to mess w/ fakes! TIA

Seller 123julie_green has them for sale in her EBay store. She is a member here on Specktra. I've also heard good things about v.i.p.cosmetics77 who has them as well. HTH

I recently joined the Consumers Complaint Board to help people know who is for real these days and who's not. It's amazing how many Ebay complaints there are and how many people in many forums & auction sites being ripped off. I'm going to make a section in my store under my FAQ as I learn more about it. As my buyers/friends know I'm highly against fake MAC or any product for that matter. I don't get how people can sleep at night knowing they are selling a product that can cause harm to someones eyes/health.

Not only that but the people who just scam for money and send nothing! I couldnt beleive the amount of electronic item sellers I saw ......

On the other side is people can "abuse" a site like that and try and ruin someones good reputation. It's sad there always seems to be a "catch22" situation and how people are these days. I could go on and on about that but thats a topic for a different forum

I'm hoping to get some d/c items on my wishlist from ebay and before I do, I'd really like it if someone who knows their fakes can help me with these sellers. I've only read good things about these (or nothing at all for some):

wc-racer
rio5743
my-boo-kitty
amistosa
jewlz4ever
v.i.p.cosmetics77
1only88
uniquebeauti*que
buyyugiohonline

Also any others that have a good range of d/c items from the last couple of years. Particularly pigments.

Are you sure they are the same? I know macmocha and knew of a "beautysampler" on ebay years ago and I would never would have thought they were the same. I wonder if thebeautysampler.com is the same one that sold on ebay years ago? does anyone know? Maybe I should just ask her, lol.

Hello

Quick question - how do you proceed when a seller sends you obviously fake pigments? I stupidly bought one off ebay (I know I'm an idiot for trying ebay but I really wanted the colour, damnit!) and it turned up this morning and it's the worst fake I've ever seen. I messaged them on ebay and opened a paypal dispute. They responded to the ebay message saying I should send them back so they could look at them, and I responded politely. They then clearly saw the paypal dispute (I thought that was standard practice? I've filed them before) and sent a nasty message through ebay. So, where do I go from here?

Thank you for any help you can give!

Edit: Paypal told me to file a claim and I now keep getting messages from the seller through ebay asking me to cancel the claim and just send them back to him...Hmmm, very legit! Sticking to the trusted sellers list and well known pigment sample sellers like Cheryl from now on I think!

Tell the seller that all they have to do is issue you a full refund and the claim will be closed!! Don't cancel the claim because you cannot reopen a new one. If the seller is going to give you a refund when you return the merchandise make sure to send it back with tracking and get them to pay the return shipping as well!

Which seller?

Sorry for the belated reply.

The seller was autentico_mac (yes, I know, I'm an idiot and I'm kicking myself for taking the risk in the first place). They refunded me promptly after I sent them back, though, so I'm pleased about that. I decided not to go down the paypal route in the end because they were massively unhelpful (I called their helpline and they were downright rude - clearly it was the end of a long shift for the girl on the phone!). I had a couple of other fakes off UK sellers but when I contacted them they refunded, I sent them back and they have stopped selling MAC or using those suppliers - result! However I am now done with ebay because it's so hard to tell what you're getting in pictures. (Although I recently got sent a fake pigment on MUA - again, the sender had no idea and was beside herself apologizing, but it seems they are just EVERYWHERE).

In happier news, candycosmetics on ebay is an awesome seller, as is aat_03.

Hi,

Having seen the name of a recommended seller come up quite frequently on this thread, I bought a Naked pigment from them. Having studied this further, and found the post here http://www.specktra.net/forum/1621853-post95.html I have no doubt that it is a fake

I am going to email the seller and let them know, and will let you know what they say about it.

I don't know if it's the same girl or not, but I have bought from her website, and all of the pigment sample's seem to be authentic. I tried out her sample's and then went out and bought some of the color's and they're all the same, and I bought from her before her price's went up so she was really reasonable. HTH

OK, further to my post about the 'Naked' pigment, the seller has responded and agreed to take the pigment back. She said:

"I am really sorry, probably they got mixed and I did not notice, I do not sell fakes you can check my feedback"

However, she sold 8 of these on that particular listing, and I've just been looking through the pigment photographs on her listings and can clearly see on several of them that they bear the 'special insignia' on the bottom of the jar, and the text without gaps on the back of the jar, which again show them to be fake.

I think I should therefore name the seller before anyone else gets caught with a fake, whether intentional or not on the seller's part. The seller is minieboop

I did advise her in my original message to check any other stock she got from the same 'supplier' just in case there are more, and to withdraw them from sale if they too are fakes.

^^Actually its not.... there were several members who claimed to have received counterfeits from her (pigments and eyeshadows) and posted here widely about it.
