Hi! I'm new, great posts!

Hi Everyone!!
smiles.gif

I finally registered after years of using color stories. I mostly agree with the favorite sellers, although I have had problems with MyBooKitty and wc-racer. My favs are:

allmistymandy - for everything, so nice, great combined rates
tankist- for pigments - just stay away from his electronics!
lynnandjason1998 - for pigments, LE items, very helpful
adajacobs - she is so nice
blush-etc - super nice

and more I can't remember off hand.

I have also noticed a lot of fake mac lately. Where is all this coming from? Is there a link/post about rules on how to spot fakes?

Thanks!! Greetings!!

I have a ebay few horror stories! The first one being with Tankist. Man, that guy has some attitude ! I bought four full sized pigments about two or three years ago and received two. When i tried to resolve it, he was not only rude but he left neg feedback. Looks like his attitude has not changed much !

Please try
prisonedkiss_uk
AAT Cosmetics

Prisonedkiss_uk was probably one of the best sellers i have ever encountered on ebay. She sent me two free pigment samples and some mixing medium. Items were immaculate and sent out within two days.

Panacea81 is great. She was very friendly even though I asked a thousand questions before and after purchase. It's a little more expensive than buying it from a store, but she's in the UK. And she's great for D/C stuff.

The good news is you can always leave negative feedback or neutral. I mean they may retaliate but its better than letting people go unbeknownst to them and waste their money!
Also-I'm not sure if its all girl or kitchmas but one of those pigments is going to be re released here in the next few collections-rockcoco i think?

I have almost always had wonderful experiences on ebay. However, for the first time ever I felt I had no choice but to leave negative feedback. My daughter didn't have an ebay account and asked me to buy pigment samples. It took weeks, I mean weeks to arrive. She ordered 9 and only 7 arrived, I emailed and emailed and emailed, finally another ONE was sent.................. long story short

Never received all 9, left negative feedback and immediately negative feedback was posted to me! I had to withdraw to "neutral" to get the negative taken off of my "100% feedback".

Honestly, I'm no longer a fan of buying MAC on eBay because there are so many misleadingly worded auctions, fakes and overpriced shipping on there. I get great deals on the LJ communities (mac_cosmetics and macsaleswap!) And I cannot say enough amazing things about mrskloo on LJ & MUA! Awesome, awesome, awesome - and I keep buying from her!

I actually wouldn't recommend hoanganhcali, honestly. At least not for pigment samples. They are trustworthy and all - you'll get your item - but they give you REALLY small, unlabelled samples in cheap jars, and charge individually for the shipping which is such a rip-off, especially if you buy a bunch of samples at once. I never buy on eBay anymore because of the shipping costs.

How do you check for these sellers on ebay. Is there a function where you can search for the sellers?

There is- go to Advanced Search, then either 'Items by Seller' or 'Find a Member' and then input the seller's name. Make sure you have the name exactly right though

I see that some of you have had problems with ebay sellers and pigment samples. I've posted this before, but I honestly cannot recommend janicea2001 enough for them!! She is really nice, can give you the batch numbers if you want to check them before you buy, reaaallly great deals, and combined REASONABLE shipping!! I've bought about 60 samples off her since I discovered her sales from someone else posting on Specktra, and she's really great

I'd just like to add that mine are always international shipments- I know that the post office cost for USPS Global Priority is $5.25, and that is exactly what she charges me, so I'm happy

Really well packaged too.

Be careful with seller "BuyMacDirect". I just bought nearly $40 in samples from this guy, only to receive them and DEFINITELY have GUARANTEED fakes of Violet and Frost (which I ordered three of each of). I'm somewhat iffy on his Chocolate and Golden as well (also ordered three of each). The violet and the frost appear to be nothing more than pressed powder eyeshadows (cheap at that) that have been ground up. They're not even the right shade of color. The chocolate and golden appear to MAYBE have some MAC mixed into the cheap powder.

Seller "Ribeater1988" filled something in her Dark Soul bottle, too, in the Cool Holiday Dress Pigment Set. I've had enough to know what the look and texture is, and this crap is powdery and gritty! I stupidly left her feedback before I took a good look at the set. All the others appear to be correct.

Other sellers that I've purchased from with little to no difficulty (and no fakes):
Meeshell820 (this girl has lots of spillage problems, but makes up for it and does it quickly!)
amistosa (she ships so fast you'll wonder if it got there before the payment went out!)
raplot
kizz_my (took a little over a week to receive, but it's authentic and she sells HUGE samples really reasonably!)

I also recently ordered a bunch of stuff from *star*auctions, but it has not arrived as of yet (been over a week).

Hit "Advanced Search" in the upper right-hand corner beneath the search box... then click on "Items by Seller" on the left side of the screen. It will bring up a search box and require the seller's name. You can even search through their already closed listings that way, too.

OOPS! I just noticed this posted above, also. *sorry!*

I literally just got home from out local MAC counter and here is an email I just fired off to a horrible eBay seller with yet another fake!

eBay user: KRISTY72

Quote:
I just got back from the local MAC counter that verified that the 'pigment' I received was 100% NOT MAC product. The jar was 1mm too tall, the sticker did not have the product name. The lid on the jar is too rounded and 2mm too high. The name is not embossed on the bottle, it's merely printed on, and all of the printing on the rear of the bottle is completely off and the incorrect size even. The color is even way too dark to be "Tan".

I am formally requesting a refund and alerting eBay to this situation.

ALSO: Anyone know anything about "*star*auctions"? I ordered from her 10 days ago and still haven't heard anything. I looked at her recent feedback, and it's starting to look bad.

Hi! I'm new and this is my first post, so please be kind!

Does anyone know if the eBay seller Addicted2MAC is legit? I'm very tempted to buy the 20 pigment sampler because she's got pretty much every color I've ever wanted to try, but $85 for 1/2 tsp samples sounds borderline too good to be true.

Thanks everyone!
