Does anyone know if the eBay seller Addicted2MAC is legit? I'm very tempted to buy the 20 pigment sampler because she's got pretty much every color I've ever wanted to try, but $85 for 1/2 tsp samples sounds borderline too good to be true.

Thanks everyone!

I'd wait on one of the pros to get here, but looking at the two auctions where she's offering 2 pigments each in them, one of the bottles in each of those listings looks funny... The Softwash Grey and the Entremauve bottles have really fat printing where the second dot touches the C of the MAC logo. And maybe it's just my eyesight this evening, but the Softwash Grey's cap looks a bit tall compared to the others.

I recently ended up with a fake jar, and it's writing looks just like those two. My authentic MAC jars of pigment have crisp, clean writing that's DEFINITELY separate from the dots between the letters.

Just me, but I've started asking for photos of the bottoms and backs of the original jars before I purchase them.

Thanks for the feeback Sonya! I asked the seller a question and she contacted me and offered to send me a large version of the picture of her bottles, so maybe that'll help in figuring out what's what. She seemed very friendly and helpful in her email, so hopefully that's a good sign, but I'm going to wait to buy until I know for sure!

I haven't been on here very long and I certainly don't have a big ebay experience but may I suggest BeverleyBelle? I got three discontinued fluidlines from her and apart from a very fast delivery, the packaging was very good, products arrived in excellent condition, her prices are reasonable plus she included a free gift (which she didn't have to). I expect to be shopping with her again.

I've used her and she'd definitely reliable. Bought 2 full sized pigments and she also sent a BN little Bonne Bell lipsmacker. I'd use her again. :p

And it's the real thing too.

I agree. They won't even take Cdn funds. I tried to purchase from them and have it shipped to a US address but they woulnd't take my Cdn credit card even... and emails are lost in the twilight zone. They're automated and don't even seem to reach a flesh-n' blood human being.

Awesome deals though (*sniff*)

UPDATE: I received these and they're real. And they're spectacular. (Hmmm, I'm probably dating myself with that reference.) I would definitely purchase from Addicted2MAC again - she couldn't have been nicer, sent freebies (chartreuse glitter and mixing medium

), packaged the pigments beautifully and sent them out right away. Can't recommend her highly enough.

I'm almost positive that 2 Laura Mercier brushes I bought from gingerpett were fake. I ended up buying a LM Crease brush from Sephora and it was markedly different than the one I purchased on ebay. The closest Laura Mercier counter is at least 3 hours away from me so I wasn't able to research before I bought them. I've pretty much stopped buying makeup on ebay. There are way too many scammers on there now compared to just a couple of years ago.

Anyone familar with jewelryguysny? I bought a pigment/glitter lot from him and was very unimpressed with the packaging. Instead of comming in little jars, they are in little flip top paint by number cases. When you open them they spill a little.

I'm new to pigments and am wondering if they are real?

its hard to tell fake pigments from pictures, you may want to take pictures of them and someone may be able to help you

I just wanted to recommend closetmustgo and allmistymandy who were very good sellers
