Thanks for that. I've just purchased a few from her. I don;t mind waiting a bit for genuine products though!

Would it be a good idea to compile all the good and bad users into one easy referenced list?

I recently discovered that a full jar of Azreal Blue pigment I bought from tankist1 is fake. I bought it on October 6, however.

Is there anything I can do? Any advice?

I contacted him but haven't heard back yet, and judging from his feedback, I'm probably going to get a very nasty reply..

Great sellers:
shrinkle
diamond*tears
mijuna
shoptivoli2000
naturally*flawless

Sellers I have received fakes from:
tru_colour
beautytips

Hi girls!

Has anybody here dealt with 12sistersreading on ebay? I've noticed she has a lot of items listed that I am desparately after (brushes in paticular) and her prices are quite good (compared to Aussie prices anyway!). However, I am a quite wary of getting MAC brushes on ebay ever since finding these forums...

Any replies from you would be greatly appreciated!

I second the poor opinion of rtfm62. They're pretty bad. I brought a full size pigment from them off ebay, received it in good time, but I got a pigment that was only about 1/3 full.

I emailed the seller and asked them about it, and got a reply stating that 'not all pigments are full to the top, some are measured by weight, your item has never been opened or used before, i bought it direct from the MAC shop, you can ring them up and they will tell you it goes by weight, other ebayers also will tell you this.'

I humoured him, and took the blatantly used pigment to my mac counter, just to ask them, and they said that pigments never settle that much. However, on asking for a complete refund (He refused me a partial refund, what a suprise), he suggested that I did not know what I was buying, and told me that ' variations in volume are common place as determined by the chemical composition, manufacturing and age of the product. Please bear this in mind when buying in future.'

Here's the 'full size' 'new' pigment he sent.

I have and was very disappointed. They seem to be genuine MAC, but were more like 1/8 tsp samples - next to nothing!!! I gave the seller a chance to amend and was never given the courtesy of a reply. I also tried to send the samples back to get a refund and never got a reply for that. I am getting all my facts together to send a complaint to ebay. STAY AWAY!

I had a similar experience (2 years ago) -- I ordered 190 & 194 brushes.

The concealer brush was very crooked/bent - had a curve to it. The "MAC logo" was not centered on the handle. Also, the concealer brush is supposed to have a pointier tip, not a rounded tip, like the one received. I also noticed a strong scent coming from the handles -- smelled like fresh paint or spray paint...

This is all so sad, I can't believe how outright dishonest people are. Is it just easier/safer to assume all MAC is fake on ebay??

no. Really you just have to look out for yourself. I know I will sell MAC every now and then on ebay and I can guarentee you it's real but at the same time- i guess just for example i almost bought something but something in the back of my head told me no- so if you have the slightest thought about something then don't buy it. AND if the seller refuses to answer a question don't buy it.
