I guess it seems her main issue is lack of versatility, but I'm not sure it would look as good on her skin tone as yours either.

the short handle set from Christmas 2009, 6 brushes, of which the white larger face brush sheds
kabuki - sheds like mad
the retractable lip brush
13 - eye liner brush
4 - blush brush

5 - eye shadow brush

I never trust Temptalia's reviews. First of all, she has a totally different skintone. And second, she still seems "shady" to me, even though she's now better about crediting her sources.

My Petit has never, ever shed not a single hair. None of my Chanel brushes have. I was them with Baby Shampoo. If I'm in a hurry I use the MAC cleanser. I wash most of them with every usage, big powder brushes are only cleaned once a week.

I wanted the Christmas set so badly, but they flew from the Make Up Studio (the only location that got them).

Oh yes!! Forgot that. The pictures on makeupandbeauty blog are so gorgeous!! It's going to be hard to wait for fall collection!!

Funny, I seem to have the very same brushes you do, but the number five it's an angled blush brush. Any chance your eye shadow brush it's a number 15 instead of 5??

Miss QQ, do you place the kabuki brush on its side to dry after washing it? If you sit it upright, the water will not dry properly where the bristles are attached and could cause shedding...

I love the look on Temptalia using the Chanel products. I really want that blush and I am interested in the lipstick and glossimer. I think I can dupe the quad with Mac and Mufe, though and Mufe has a similar eyeliner as well.

Anyone see the collection on MABB? I've said before that I love her site, but all the colors look the same on her so I can never judge the items accurately. I wish she had skin swatches of the products.

A lot of people seem to think she's shady for some reason. I don't know about all that and I don't even care if she gets stuff for free. I could only hope to get something for nothing.

I do read her reviews, but that's not how I make up my mind. Ultimately, I need to see it in person, but my interest is peaked by swatches first. Sometimes she raves about something, but the swatch doesn't move me at all so I am not excited about it. Also, she and I have different tastes. The Mac stuff she recommends is not the same as what I go for when she does her collection reviews. It's still my favorite makeup blog b/c despite there being a huge difference in our skintones, I can count on an accurate swatch and a look at brands outside of Mac. To each their own, though.

One thing that does annoy me, though, not just about her but a lot of people, is the insistence that certain colors/looks are only for certain seasons. Sorry, but I spend my money on make up and I don't have time putting something on hiatus b/c it's not "in season". My make up is a reflection of my mood. I don't even match it with my clothes. I'm not a matchy-matchy type of person. If I want a "fall look" in the dead of August, I'll do it. When this Chanel collection comes out, I'm wearing this stuff NOW.

I saw everything in person again today

The glosses are BEAUTIFUL!!!
The Chanel lady said that the purple liner is really popular & they just put it out today (Macys).

I got to swatch the orchid rose, finally - its so pretty that I'm going to order that too

And, I got a sample of the Line Repair Serum.

Also, she showed me all the pics of the next collection can we say

x 100! A new gorgeous pink tweed blush, several new shades of glosses - lots of pink

and a really gorgeous pink ls!!! Oh, & another gorgeous es quad!

Oh I'm so sorry to hear this, here's hoping everything is just fine for him in a day or so. So glad to see you here Cheryl, hope your family visit was great!! Get some rest and relaxing "you" time now...I always feel like I need a vacation after a family event when I'm hosting the visit.

Ladies the BE Scrub and Moisture Milk both sound delicious! I'll have to try to get samples and check them out. I think I actually got a sample of the eye cream with my last order, so I'll have to give that a try soon too.

Chanel canceled my backorder for Genial, apparently it's totally gone. Ahh...so bummed.

MAC has free shipping today with any order (no code) so I ordered Vegas Volt and Impassioned. They're not Genial, but hopefully I can make do without it when I get these 2.

You know, I totally agree. The skintone difference is huge for me too, so it's really hard to tell whether something will work for me or not when she swatches/uses it. I get a Shady vibe too, but I can't put my finger on it.

Oh well, plenty of other resources out there. Specktra's my #1, so much here that I just can't find anywhere else...like all of you!

Karla Sugar's site is fabulous for me for swatch info too. Plus, she seems quite genuine and I like that. To each their own!

The new Fall with Enigma is just now hitting the other stores. My Macys wasn't supposed to get it for quite awhile - but did today. Neither of my far nearby Nordies had it yet.The other new collection (not sure if its Holiday) is August I thought she said.
The duos are in a few weeks.
