HerGreyness - I hope you're finding some comfort here, if only to get your mind off things for a bit - as you said, your husband would want you to keep moving with your 'full face of makeup'! I think that's great. Please do let us know if there is anything we can do to help!

How is your product testing going? I noted from the other threads that you're really liking Bite of an Apple from MAC VV - I can't wait to see that blush! Are there other gems we should be thinking about for our lists?

I erroneously forgot to add that the base I used under the Amethyst in the look above was MAC Charred Mauve GPS - I think the next time I do it I'll use something a bit lighter, or just a primer.

And Meg, I too am loving Pink Explosion - I love that it can be applied sheerly, or it's buildable....one of my fave blushes too!

Sass, Surprise is GORGEOUS! IIRC, HerGreyness got that one by mistake (she had ordered Super - the RA that sold out so quickly from the Summer collection) and she likes it too! I actually have it in my bag today to switch up my lip.

Today I'm wearing Crystal/Dusk duo with Taupe Grise - the usual Cassis (I can't get enough of that liner!!), Orchid Rose blush (the US one) and Mademoiselle lips. It came out pretty well for a nice neutral office look (where I am today).

I hope you all get your Izzy's orders soon - I got my shipping notice yesterday so I'm anxious to get mine!!

Thank you so much Shypo -- for your caring words and continued support. I slept a full night (well almost) but my body feels a bit better -- hopefully I will get out for a walk today with my doggies who arrived and will be travelling with me to my mom's.

I have a few boxes (small ones as that is the nature of cosmetics) to test but since last week they will be on hold until I return.. I will advise later -- but I can say this: it looks like the upcoming year is going to be a HEAVY lip year..

My "Surprise" did turn out to be wonderful -- I was dissapointed at first since I did order "Super" and as usual was too lazy to return it. When I did apply it, I was so happy I kissed it..lol. I will wear this alot later on (btw, it looks very much like the new Dior colors too) -- totally wearable and buildable. If you want more color, use a gel liner below and you can get a whole bunch of shades from it!

The Chanel mascara base really does strengthen and condition my lashes - I have a mild tendency toward trichotillomania, mainly affecting my eyebrows and lashes, and the base actually makes my lashes less prone to falling out.

I've also found that the base really does give that vavoom to the Inimitable mascara, I wouldn't wear it without anymore!! My best friend is always jealous of my lashes - I have naturally curly ones anywya but they aren't that thick and plentiful, but the two products together give me amazing false lash effect without the falsies!!

I tried the new flesh toned eye kohl that's meant for the water line and really like it. Compared to the MAC NC15/NW20 Chromagraphic pencil it's darker and it's also softer in texture. It definitely brightened my eyes up but unlike the MAC one on me, it did not scream 'oh she's got a light liner on her waterline', it was much more subtle looking.

Really! Well thats good to know. When I was in Saks, I looked & looked at it debating. Plus, the Chanel lady said she didn't know what to do with it & didn't like it on herself, but was going to ask the LA Chanel MA what his tricks were with it. I didn't hear back, but I should call her. Interesting

I've been interested in that one as well. I've noticed a lot of MUA are going for the flesh toned liner on the waterline rather than a white liner. If I put too much white liner on my waterline, I look more scary than awake lol . . . need to check that out!

I forgot to add that I used MAC Pink Treat lipliner which gives Comedia and Courtisane a big pop of hot pink!

I want to try that mascara base! I love mascara bases and have used them every time I do my makeup for about three years now. I like the Clinique one, Mac prep&prime and Urban Decay Lash Primer. This Chanel one is definately the next on my list!

Bonitinha, you look stunning! Love that lipcolor and your eyes and you picked a great background to top it all off!

I posted in the Burberry thread but their lipstick is a no go with me because they are incredibly heavily scented and not in a good MAC way or even in a tolerable Chanel way, but in an old fashioned perfumey way.
