Hey ladies! Does anyone know how different Vert Khaki is to MAC's Sumptous Olive? I have SO and Mink and Sable but for some reason, I'm still wanting VK. I would appreciate any input - thanks!!!

Yep!! Since Hypatia was taken when I first made an email account, I turned it into Hypathya!! She's been some sort of inspiration to me. I was a physicist and since I was a kid fell in love with a quote about her: "As beautiful as Aphrodite, as intelligent as Athena".

I'm to be buried with a Levres Scintillantes!! And still rocking them in my 100's!!!

There's a 79 lady that visits my MAC PRO and collects almost every single item from every single collection. The sweetest part is she goes with her hubby, who patiently waits on a bench outside or the MAC director's chairs for make overs!!

She's my guru!!

OK lovelies......I was feeling very melancholy on this rainy day (it's quite nice, actually - a good break from the hot, humid weather we've been having lately), and decided that the mood inspired a look for me.......

Hi Kelly - here are some swatches:

Top to bottom:

Vert Khaki
Mink & Sable
Sumptuous Olive

L-R: VK, M&S, SO

VK is much more brown than green - M&S is the 'greenest' of the 3 - VK is very bronz-y - almost a brown with gold - if there's any green in it, it's quite subtle, and almost undetectable on me.

Seriously, the BC quad is gorgeous - I just opened it today, waiting for the right 'mood' to wear blues. I think it was Nora and maybe Michelle who were talking about how beautiful the darkest blue is - I have to agree. It was really easy to work with, and I didn't need to use a dark base under it. I also love the color that looks sort of like a light gold in the pan - it's actually more of a pink (almost like Nanogold, but a bit 'whiter'). I'd like to have a single of that one!!! I like it on the inner eye quite a bit - even more than my beloved Crystal Avalanche!!

Hi everyone! Things have been really hectic here between work and the kids. I wanted to respond to so many posts, but haven't had the time. I've been trying to keep up with the thread though!

Michelle, what an amazing prize! Congrats. I'm sure you and your girls will have a lot of fun with all those glosses!

Karin, hope you get everything straightened out quickly with the cc. And I also really hope the job thing works out sooner than later, you deserve it.

For all the well wishes for our new home, thank you so much! This home means a lot to me, because DH and I have worked our butts off for a while to get to this point. And having such positive energy coming our way from all you lovely ladies is such a nice feeling.

Cheryl, I just love all of your pics. You are such a beautiful woman and really talented (which also results in inadvertent enabling!)

I feel the exact same way. While I plan on being an a very strict low-buy after the fall collection, I intend to continue to visit this thread!

I am so excited for your new home, and the sacrifices you've made will be SO worth it!!! I will join you on that no-buy - multiple tuitions coming up have me a bit in shock

- not that I wasn't prepared, but I was not prepared for my son wanting to study in South Africa for a semester!

That, and new tires needed on all the cars (man, I HATE buying TIRES!!!) has put me in lock-down mode. I'll be paring down my MAC lists substantially

but heaven knows I have enough makeup to keep me occupied!

I'm sure this thread will keep us company during the long winter months

and the dry spell!

It is just another makeup obsession! The packaging is to die for -- sleek and edgy. The blushes and shadows are amazing -- very pigmented and you get a ton of product. With the Hautelook 50% off -- the prices are reasonable. They are ridiculous if you buy them off the R&R website!! Next time hautelook does a sale, you'll have to check them out!
