Ming looks so lovely on you, too -- that should really be on my short list of "wants". I am anxiously awaiting my R&R stuff -- I ordered way too much!

How do you have such self control to wait to open everything? I am like a little kid tearing into my packages lol!

I just love the blushes. The compacts are so heavy, but I love it! I got 3 blushes and 6 e/s -- super naughty!

I got my 2 glossimers today (Mica and Magnifique). I really wish I had Rose Comete to go with Mica! Maybe on my next order . . . and then, I'll be really good

The few times I've actually stuck to a no or low buy, it has actually felt really good!

I really like Magnifique, I seem to be reaching for it quite often lately, it's such an easy, no fuss gloss.

Thanks for the great feedback ladies!!! I really appreciate it! I really enjoyed putting this look together - it took me a bit to get it where I wanted it, but I was pretty happy with it. I think this fall is going to be a smokey-eye season for me!! So many options with the new Chanel colors......maybe I should keep a calendar so I don't forget!

Heidi, that is so funny that this is the new English word you learned! I had to Google it to make sure it wasn't something dirty!

Michelle, glad you got your glossimers! Do you like them? I'm sure Rose Comete will come along very soon.........perhaps it will show up on the Macy's site soon. I know when I got mine I got the last one, but my local counters have been getting lots of restock in, so you never know! Have you tried calling local Macy's to see if they'll ship it to you? (Sorry if I missed that you had done that already).

Here are the photos of my R&R haul - the packaging photo didn't come out at all - I'll have to take that pic during the day. It's silver with black - very substantial and classy

- but yes, it's a bit over-the-top. Not something I'll be taking on a plane trip!

Top row L-R, eye shadows: Diffused, Corset
Bottom row L-R, eye shadows: Affair, Tempting
Top row blush: Spank
Bottom row blush: Kinky

I can't bear to swatch them yet......but I will

.......Diffused is a gorgeous shimmery taupe, Affair is a great shimmery champagne/pinky sort of color. Hard to define.

The blushes are just WOW! I can't wait to use them! No real shimmer to speak of, but the depth of color is fab!!!!

I'll have to do a look with these - I REALLY wish I had gotten a couple more shadows while they were on sale - but I'll get them next time. In about a year!

Did you love the little hat box type boxes they all come in? They do such a great job on packaging! The compacts are kinda heavy, but I like that they are substantial!
After my next Chanel order for Fall, I *really* need to cool it for a while

I've just been reading that Rock & Republic filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy back in April - I hope it doesn't mean the cosmetic brand will go away......I noticed that Nordstrom isn't carrying it anymore. I sorta wish I had ordered a couple more shadows....oh well. The R&R site only has a few of the blush colors left......maybe there will be a 'going out of business sale'!

I heard that they pulled out of all of the department stores and were only selling online -- don't know if that is true or not

If they are going out of business, I will have to stock up next time. Update: I did see R&R on the Neiman's site -- so who knows??

I wore my Magnifique glossimer over MAC Speed Dial lipstick today and I love it

Nothing like trying out new Chanel makeup to brighten my day!

Interesting - I checked NM earlier today, and the cosmetics line isn't there - apparently they were selling at Nordstrom, NM, and Bloomingdales (online) prior to the Chapter 11. I decided to place a small order online of the shadows I didn't get from Haute Look - I missed the second order by about a minute, not realizing there was an 11:00AM deadline), using a 10% coupon code they sent me (along with $.99 shipping). I hated paying almost full price, but then again, I have paid that for a much smaller Chanel or Dior shadow, so that's how I justified it to myself.

I just didn't want to miss them if they end up discontinuing the line (as I didn't think it would make it as far as another Haute Look sale)....I was a little suspicious when I saw there were only 4 blush colors.

You're right -- I think they're just selling jeans/not the makeup on NM. I remember one time they did the R&R sales on Hautelook just weeks within each other. Maybe they'll do another one soon if R&R rounds up all of their inventory??
I have plenty of Chanel on my wishlist to keep me busy!

I'll keep my fingers crossed, just in case, but yes, I have enough to occupy me as well! My MAC MA did a really pretty eye on me today that I want to duplicate - I hope I can. She is so creative with colors - I don't have that knack. She used pigments too, and I've really been struggling with them lately, I think mainly due to primer/base - she uses Painterly on me all the time and the looks come out fabulous. I use Painterly and just can't seem to get it blended properly....maybe I just need to get a new one. They get sooooo dry!!! I think I need to take a day and just experiment with things to see what combinations work.

Yes - I have a number of Nixie products, and I believe they have been a casualty as well, which is a shame, because I really do like them. I was able to order several things, and actually get them, but I think they're pretty much toast at this point. EL, Lancome (whatever the parent name for them and L'Oreal is), and Chanel will weather the storm......did I hear that EL is picking up Mally?

So, today hubby got me some very cool Chanel logo backgrounds for my browser, my personal home page & my phone. I think its funny how he looks for/picks out anything Chanel for me

When I got my glossimers this week, my hubby asked "are they that much better than any other brand?" -- I flashed him the cap with the interlocking C's -- and he said "oh, gotcha". LOL I think Chanel is so sleek and classic and not to mention fabulous quality!
